can't stop blinking

I am an alcoholic who has been in recovery for the past 8 months and I have developed a very aggravating blinking problem. I am taking Lexapro for anxiety. I don't know if it is a nervous tick or something else. I blink so much that my eyes really ache. I did get shot in my right eye when I was a kid and I am blind in that eye. I can't take any kind of mood altering drugs but I would love to hear back from someone. Thank you

You need to see an ophthalmologist. You may have blepharospasm. It can be helped.  Also with only one good eye you need yearly exam and should ideally wear safety glasses to protect your eye.

Good luck with the recovery.
