retinal scaring

hi i had a retinal atachment in feb 2010,it worked for six weeks but the scaring around the eye made the retina fall back off,i now have silicone oil in the eye but there is still alot of scare tissue still there,will the scare tissue ever go away,my surgeon said driving may become a problem in the future is there any thing i can do,

Existing scarring won't disappear, unless surgically removed. However, formation of new scar tissue should at some point stop, but when it will stop is unknown.
No, there is nothing you can do.
