scar tissue removal from eye

I had a sty for months and when I went to the doctor they said it is no longer a sty but scar tissue. I'm going to have it removed but I'm curious as to will I have stitches will it be painful will I be put to sleep or numbed? I plan to discuss this with my dr.but I wanted a second opinion.

No way I can tell but its likely you now have a "chalazion" use the search feature and archives to read about. And go to Google images to see what these look like

Hi,

I can't really answer your questions as I am not familiar with eye surgeries.  I am going to move your question to the eye community where  you may get some answers.  Definitely ask your doctor these questions when you have your appointment- I usually suggest writing them down and bringing them with you so that you don't forget anything.  Good Luck.
