technis multi focal implants

Two years ago I had technis multi focal implants in both eyes. I've learned to live with most of the side effects...........glowing lights and moon........seeing the edge of the lens..............but I'm deeply troubled by a greasy film on both eyes.........worse in my right eye. It is making me terribly depressed as I live to play softball, much like golfers live to golf.   I am considering giving it up because of the problem with my eyes.  My other passion is photography.........I can't tell if the photos are out of focus or it's my eye.  I work with the computer to correct photos, etc.   My doctor says........"you have 20-20 vision..........like telling me "what's the problem".......that doesn't help.   He also says he hasn't used his whole bag of tricks............well what is there and when?  Also says........if he lasers it again my close up vision will be "different"............I ask what that means and the answer is "different".  How does that help. I'm at my wits end. I am in Ny in the summer and fl in the winter........I'm looking for a dr down here who would be good enough to help me.

Usually a cloudy posterior capsule causes blurred vision all the time.

Thank you for trying to help me. I do wear glasses now but that doesn't get rid of the film.  I'm wondering about the filmyness of the posterior capsule,
is that stationary? My film slips about.

THere are a number of things that must be ruled out: corneal problems including residual asitigmatism or irregular astigmatism; proper IOL position; filmyness of the posterior capsule, macular problems, residual refractive error and need for glasses.

You would need to see a cornea/refractive/IOL surgeon. Find one near you at www.aao.org

"waxy vision" is more often associated wth RESTOR iol but is a consideration.
