Would you say the same for one RD with no macular hole ?
I mean, after cataracts removal and so...
No if RD reattached and macula was not detached or not have hole vision usually returns to normal or near normal.

Thanks for the reply.RD is indeed reattached by now and no one mentioned macula problems so I guess I have a good chance in the future. No that they use to talk much about... :-)

When was your retinal surgery?
VVitrectomy via pars plana with silicone oil for repairing a Retina detachment See my other previous posts about if you want.7 to 8 months ago, still keep the oil ( for technical reasons, they want to do cataracts at the same time. Retina is atacched but iols are lacking - public health service)
Luck!
Did you have only one retina surgery? Why did they use oil?
Thank Goodness! Eye was bad enough for they decide putting oil , and I only knew about other procedures after the surgery Was informed first hand that I will have to undergone a second surgery to remove the oil the following day, by another patient at the waiting room. This new one scares me more, cos now I have something to lose, first time thing was so bad that all I wanted was the situation reaching an end.
