vitreous hemorrhage

If a patient had vitreous hemorrhage following retinal detachment surgery:
1) does it take a while for the blood to get reabsorbed?
2) What about a light gray area in one's vision 3.5 months post surgery?  What could this be?  4 months post surgery, my Doc said ther is no more blood in my operated eye.
3) HOw long until this light gray area in my vision will go away?
4) Is having this light gray area in one's vision (small in the shape of a flat football, really close to the center of vision, also affecting my reading a bit) normal?

Thanks in advance for your answers.  Much appreciated.

Does your dr have a diagnosis of WHAT this gray spot is?  I have a similar situation (almost 2 years with some, but very limited improvement)

Hi,
I had the same problem as you concerning the grey area in my vision after my operation. It's been over a year since my last retina surgery, and about 3 and a half since my cataract one. The gray area has just begun to disappear, albeit very slowly.. my surgeon said it could take a long time to go away and it finally has started to subside.
