eye specialist for rare problem

Hello All,

My brother is 23 years old and he is not able to see from right eye. He is having this problem when he was 2 years old. The problem is, he got injured his eye with "match stick" while playing.

We went to Shankar Netralay, Chennai, and Amritsar for different doctors when he injuired his eye. Doctors told us, his eye is fine(infact, he can donate his eye to anyone) but he can not see. The problem doctor told us, there is no "Blood Circulation" in vains.

I, myself feel, since, tech has changed from past 20 years, can we have doctors who can give him Light in his life again.

Hello doc,

I really appriciate ur response.

In the begining, it was told to us, if he will do some eye exercise, he could get some visionary power in that eye. Again, as you said, i understand if the nerve system is fail we can not do anything.

But, in future also, can't we do anything for him.

It sounds like he had an optic nerve injury.  In this case, the eyeball itself is fine but the nerve that carries vision from the eye to the brain doesn't function.  There is no treatment for this condition.
