why do I have static vision, night blindness, and other vision problems

I have had vision problems since a kid but other than needing glasses for a very minor nearsightedness, the eye doctors have never been able to find anything wrong. When I was a child I would wake up at night and be terrified because all I could see was  "snow, TV static". This does not happen to me anymore but everything has a static look to it. I also have multiple floaters at all times that drive me insane. If I look up at a clear blue sky it appears as though I am looking at water. I also have trouble driving at night and it is near impossible if it is raining. I am worried because I am only 33 and no doctor seems to be able to offer any answers.

This discussion is related to static vision/night blindess.

Given the length of time you've had this and numerous normal exams it's not likely serious. Floaters are normal for some 33 year olds, looking up at the blue sky just makes them more visible, I've had floaters since I was 10 years old. Your complaints suggest you may have a high anxiety level and/or depression. If that is the case see a good psychiatrist for treatment. If you have been to a good Eye MD ophthalmologist and nothing found you should stop worrying unless something new develops or your present symptoms get worse.
