1st IUI or CD10 this week, anyone?

I know a few of you ladies are trying IUI for the first time this cycle along with me, and that others are on the same cycle schedule, so I am just casting a net for BUDDIES :-) to go through the upcoming 2WW this holiday season.

I am CD10, in second month of TTC, used 100mg Clomid cd3-7 and estradiol patch cd8-12. Will go in 12/5 (Wed) for ultrasound to check follies and possible HCG (depending on size) with IUI scheduled for Friday (possibly).

Please write if you are on the same schedule or trying IUI.

Peace, Heather Jo

IUI with meds has a good success rate.  I used clomid (clominofencitrat) in the past and depending on the dosage and your response you may produce more than one egg improving your chances of success.  It's a very safe and widely used drug but you should be monitored for cysts at the end of each cycle.
Good luck!

it is possible for me to have my first IUI next month. I am waiting AF to come and I shall call my doctor to give me instruction about medication to take .my FSH (3d) was 21.65 - so high that I dont have too much hopes, but my doctor said it's still possible to get pregnant with my own eggs.
The drugs I shall buy are: menopur 75, clomifencitrat, pregnyol 5000 ui. Do you know something about those drugs? Did somebody used them so far?

I don't understand the blood work beyond progesterine at this point, but I sure will keep you in my prayers. Thanks so much for your well wishes, and double the same back to you. I KNOW you will do it--it's an intuition thing.

Hi Ladies,

Well, I don't know what I'll be doing this month around cd "ovulation".   I just got my blood work results back and I don't think it looks good.  I  may be holding off this month.  I need to call my drs. office tomorrow and see how soon I can get in to see the specialist.  These are my results.  (I made a post, but not sure you all saw it).  cd 3 FSH = 16    Estradiol = 60  (been on Clomid 2cycles - 100mg.)  From my "laymans" opinion, this would suggest Clomid is not working for me.

I know 16 is HIGH for FSH.  Last time I had it checked was March and it was 3!!  Well, I should know more after talking to my dr. tomorrow.

HeathJo and Shayla, you're a little ahead of me with your cycles. (I'm at cd 5)  LOTS and LOTS of BBDD!!!!  Here's to being a part of the mommy world for you both!!

You should be glad you can do natural, and plus, if you read my above post, I am completely confused about all of it! I don't know what BETAS are, or HSGs or anything.

All we need to know is that we want babies, and follow the advice our docs give us, and stay in touch on this forum.

BTW--it's cool you live in Austin.I'd much rather live there than Dallas, but after graduating from Ursuline, going to Tulane, living in France, California, and a few other places, I ended up back here after breaking my neck. Then, I had to go and fall in love with my long-lost high-school sweetheart! He will never leave Dallas. But, it is better (less snotty) than it was in the 80s.

Stay  in touch :-)

I feel so low tech relative to all of you!

Well, depending on my follicles size, I may have to wait a few more days for them to grow before the HCG shot. Thus, we could be right on the same day. Will definitely stay in touch :-)

I am not doing clomid or injectables or the trigger.  So, it's going to be a natural cycle with IUI.  By my calculations, I should be getting a positive OPK next  Monday and doing IUI on Tuesday.  This will be my first IUI.  I guess you are one week ahead of me.  Lets hope IUI works for all of us!
Lets stay in touch!!!

Thanks for posting! I know LJ307, Empty, Lexima, Helen 72 and annabritta and us are all either trying IUI for the firs time and/or on the same schedule. Hopefully they will see this post and respond.

I am confused about injectables. . .I asked my doc and she said they use just the HCG trigger shot when follicles are large enough to be induced into dropping. What is the schedule and reasoning behind your injectible regimen? How long TTC?
