wondering about a conception

my girlfriend and i went to an ultrasound on october 5th,  and saw a complete image of the baby...she says she got pregnant on august 20th, so my question is I guess, is this possible or did she conceive at an earlier date? and if so how muchearlier and can a visible complete image of the baby be seen at 6and a half weeks? im a little worried she may not be telling me the truth

THANK YOU FOR THE INPUT--I REALLY WORRIED THAT SHE IS TRYING TO DECIEVE ME, I LOVE HER BUT SHE WAS WITH ANOTHER MAN 1 TIME ABOUT TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE AUGUST 2OTH DATE...I LOVE HER BUT I AM WORRIED, THE PICTURE I HAVE AS MY PROFILE PICTURE IS THE ACTUALL ULTRASOUND PHOTO ON OCT 5TH...IF YOU CAN SEE IT CLEARY WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hello,

did you see the ultrasound report?  That usually states the estimated age of gestation (AOG).  It also refers to last menstrual period.

Yes, a baby may be able to be seen at 6 1/2 weeks.  At that stage it is pretty small and doesn't look too much like a human (ie. short arms and legs and big head).

If she got pregnant on 20th August that would mean her last menstrual cycle was about 6th August (2 weeks before she conceived) and the u/s was done on 5th October that would mean she was actually about 8 weeks pregnant according to the way they count.  By 8 - 9 weeks an u/s would look like a baby, though the head is still big compared to everything else.

You can google ultrasound and 6  weeks or 8 weeks pregnant and you will find images of what that stage of pregnancy would look like.
