CONFUSED ABOUT EVERYTHING

I had a m/c 7 weeks ago.  Monday i finally rent pack to fertility dr.  did a blood test my and its back to negative.
I also had a ultrasound done because i wall feeling some twinkling and a little pain on my left side.  My nursed called me yesterday and said it look like im ready to ovulatein the next couple of days  because my left follical is pretty big. Now here is the confusing part.  Today I have my period, well at least I think is my period.  So my question is did i ovulated and if so why am i bleeding.  (not to heavy). Someone please help me.  Do i have a chance of concieving this month.

P.S. If this is a period it would be the first after my M/C

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I'm also sorry because I'm not entirely sure they were right.  If you are bleeding heavy enough to consider it your period (more than spotting), my guess is that what they saw on your ovary was a regular old cyst, and not a follicle ready to ovulate.  I AM NO DOCTOR - I am just guessing!  Cysts can cause the twinges of pain you mentioned.  I would definitely call them back and tell them you are bleeding.

That doesn't mean that you won't ovulate this upcoming month, and the other good news is that if it is a cyst, it can't be that big if they mistook it for a follicle.  My guess is it will probably go away on its own,  but you will probably need to monitor it - maybe go back in two weeks to make sure it is getting smaller and not bigger.

If it is a cyst, I'm sure everything will be fine - it just may delay things a bit (but it may not either!).  I KNOW how frustrating it can be!  I've had a bazzillion cysts in my life!  That's what it sounds like is happening to me, but once again, I think you should call your doctor because I'm not one :o)

Let me know if you have any other questions - you can feel free to send me a message if you like.

Good luck!
