anyone ever encountered a VERY light BFP HPT after one week late?

Hey ya'll,
Well I couldn't take it anymore being a week late.. so I went to the drug store and bought a 2 pack first response HPT and took one tonight *couldn't wait til in the morning*, my nerves wouldn't let me!! There was one really dark line and one really faint line. I couldn't believe my eyes and didn't know if my heart was seeing two lines or not so I took it to my sisters house and said "okay, how good are your eyes?" We were standing outside, and "she's like well I suppose pretty good", I handed it to her and she said "well there is a really light line here, when did you take it?" I said "like 20 minutes ago!" She's like oh gawd, take another one in the morning and call me, as if she's my gyno!!LOL
Anyways, sorry for the long drug out story, just wondered if anyone else has experienced a very faint positive line?? Or if I'm just wishful thinking!

luck and happiness to all!!

Patty

Same thing happened to me I took three test all positive. Made a doctors appointment negative even had him take my blood just to be sure. That came back negative as well, my dreams were crushed...

I agree with the others, take it as a BFP, especially since you probably saw the line before the ten minutes.  With FRER even after 20 minutes I would consider that a positive because they rarely give evaps, at least not that soon.

Congratulations!!

I'm thinking bfp!!! I've only got one evap w/them in hundreds of tests and it was a clear line, not colored. I would say-CONGRATS!!!

Hey gals,
Well, I woke up at 4 AM and had to pee so bad so I thought I should probably take the other test, it too was light pos but a little darker then the other one. Since they won't run a blood test on me unless it's ordered and I couldn't get a hold of my doc, I went to planned parenthood today and took a pregnancy test there and it was negative, then the nurse told me that they don't use early predictors so she wouldn't really go by that one (why didn't she just tell me that to begin with so I wouldn't end up depressed!!! GRR!!) so now I don't know, maybe I'll get another first response and take another one in a couple days *this time FMU!!* I don't know what else to do, other then wait.

Patty...

I think a Congrats are in order. First Response is not known to give false positives..thjey say a line is a line :) First Response is also known for light lines and not super dark ones. Looking forward to seeing your post on here this am from your second test :)

My suggestion so you don't pull out all your hair is go buy a digital test.  When I was 4 days I had a faint + and I couldn't help but freak out, so at 6 am I went out at 20 below zero weather and bought a digital, it came up PREGNANT right away... It takes the guessing out of it, and helps keep our sanity.  In my opinion anyways =)  But just so you know, I never got a dark line with the +/- tests and I'm now 18 weeks 6 days pregnant, so don't sweat it. And when you test make sure to use the first urine of the day, so the HCG doesn't get diluted. Good luck and let me know when you test again =)
