Neg. OPK, slight cramping?

Hi guys. I started using my 7-pk of clearblue easy digital OPKs on Sunday. I ovulated on CD28 last cycle, and today is CD 27, so I thought I'd start at CD26 and test for a week. Neg. tests Sunday, Monday (which i expected) but was hoping for positive today (since tomorrow would be CD28) and it was also negative.
I'm getting eggwhite CM and for the first time at this point of my cycle, im having low cramping. But, still negative OPK. This one is digital, so there's no mistaking the empty circle where the smiley would be. Hmm.
Does cramping mean anything? I'm freaking out because
A) those darn tests cost $30 a 7-pk and really dont want to have to buy another box in 4 days.
B) my husband is going out of town Friday-Sunday morning and I dont want to miss out on our O time.
Any encouraging words will really be appreciated. I'm feeling so down. I just KNEW i'd have a smiley today at lunch, and when I didn't, I started panicking.
I have irregular cycles fyi. also having a little bit of itching down there, tmi!

I have always used the smiley opks there the best and most reliable but yes very expensive. If your getting the ewcm then you will ovulate soon. Keep taking the opks best time to take them is 2pm. Bring it to work if you have to if thats the case. I will test sometimes three times a day so I don't miss my surge. Good luck to you. And even if you don't get a positive opk you could still be ovualting my friend got prego the month her opks were all neg.

It is very possible that it is o. I like to use the cheap opks until I get a positive or unsure opk, then use the smiley to confirm. I save a lot of $$ that way. I find the smileys work best w/fmu also. Their mfr says test anytime, but when urine is held longer is better. I have had times when the smileys don't show and my monitor did. Temps confirmed it was o. I would bd and not take chances. I am in the same boat tonight! Good luck!
