progesterone help

Background info.  I just found out I am pregnant.  If you go by my last cycle, Im alittle over 4 weeks. I have been taking Clomid to ttc.

ok so my OB office called and they said they want to put me on progesterone capsels since when they did my blood test it was low.  It was maybe 3 days after I Oed.  I mean it has always been low.  Is it going to hurt anything if I take them and I dont need it?  Im really stressing and I cant really look up anything while I am at work.  Any advice would be great!

Progesterone is vital in preventing miscarriage. It will do nothing to hurt your baby. I would start it asap especially if you are known to have low progesterone. Progesterone builds your uterine lining and keeps the baby attached.

I'm with Heather5, I don't think it will hurt anything.  It's a pretty standard thing protocol.  But ask your doctor.  Good Luck!  How blessed you are.  Oh and I'm taking them too.  In a suppository form.  It can get rather messy if you don't use panty liners.

I don't think it will hurt anything...but if you're worried about it, you could always ask them for another blood test, especially since the one that was done (only three days after O) probably was too early to get the peak reading. They usually like to test about 7 days after O. Good luck with your pregnancy!
