My sister's friend adopted a baby in Russia and didn't have too much trouble.
Well... I say that.. in the end it turned out that she'd been duped and it wasn't a legal adoption agency and the authorities tried to take the baby away from her but then she finally convinced them to let her keep her because after all, she WAS an orphan so regardless of how she got her, wasn't the baby better off?  That and a hefty bribe!!!
But all that said, apparently Russia was the easiest for legal adoption accoding to this woman.  This was a number of years ago though so I don't know if it's changed.

Ok, so I have been researching International Adoption. Did you know that China has the most requirements???? They are the only COuntry that Requires you are married. Have to be under 50 and over 30. You have to be 30 - 44 for an infant. Have to have your High School Diploma or GED. Something no other country requires, and puts me out. Net worth $80,000.Annualy income $10,000 oer family member including the child you are trying to adopt. You can't have ever terminated parental rights to a child after the age of 18. Never been diagnosed w/ depression, anxiety, alcoholism, or drugs. Cannot have had any surgery in the past year. Neither parent can be in a wheelchair, have a history of cancer (again puts us out), lupus, binocular blindness, Active Hepatitis A, B, or C, or seizure disorder. If you have ever been divorced you have to married at least 5 years. Can't have more than 4 kids already in the home. OH and your body fat index cannot exceed 40%. They are tuff.

Your poor DR. I hope he is alright. I'm glad he was abled to do the transfer though. Now, all you have to do is wait for that BFP!!!!!

Krista, rooting for ya BIG time.  Just think... perhaps it really IS all about Karma and "sparing" the fly's little life will give you a great big BFP!  k... maybe I'm the one who needs to get out a little more!!!  Haven't been to work in over a month what with one thing and another.

Sam, rooting for you too!  Although ... Geez... you must be one scary chick when you don't get your way!!!  Your poor doctor must be terrified of you, checking himself out of the hospital to do your transfer!! (hee hee)

Miky, I'm sorry things didn't go quite as planned but so often they don't and I sometimes wonder if things work out better in the end when they don't go according to plan at the beginning!!  I have everything crossed that all goes well despite the shorter stimming period.

Helloooooooooo my lovely cyber systas!

All is well....whew..... my RE made somewhat of a recovery - checked himself out of the hospital to do my transfer...... but..... the poor guy is scheduled for a procedure on Friday ... to put the tube and camer down his throat and go exploring.... he has an internal hernia somewhere and have to go in to find it.  I admit,,,, he looked a little peaked when he did my transfer, but it went smoothly as usual :-))  

I posted a photo of the 3 84hr. old embryo's we had transferred.  Arent' they beautiful? (I may be biased :-)

I have been couch and bed bound for the last two days, ..... dh worked both days, but locked devil dog in her kennel when he left....for all she knew we were both at work -- until I had to peeeee so bad and used the bathroom and flushed the toidy.....then she started howling from her box in the garage.....dang plumbing!  But after 5 min. she quieted back down.


Kele - my prayers are with your grammy for a speedy recovery!

Back to the couch for me.....I will be working tomorrow... :-((

I will catch up with everyone t'morrow!

And the truth is that Doctor do not have a clue of what is going to have a positive outcome!!
