2WW - anyone with me?

Hi girls! I started a 2WW post a couple of months back, but decided to create a new one for all of us currently suffering from the "looong 2 week wait" syndrome! I'm 4 dpo today and are not really experiencing any symptoms yet, but of course it is still early :-)

Nevaeh and BabyBlue, I know the two of you are about 3 dpiui today. Anyone else out there?

I'm in a 2WW before all these problems rose up. But I'm choosing to be optimistic and hoping for the BFP still! I am 7 dpo I think. I kind of stopped keeping track. I'm testing on the 19th.

Hi JoyRenee! Looks like you're just a few days ahead of me then. I'll cross my fingers for you!!! Have you noticed any symptoms at all?

Hi.  On my first round of clomid and think I got  a LH surge on Saturday, which would make me 3dpo.  (Is it right to assume that when you say past ovulation you really mean the LH surge??).  Then I started seconding guessing myself - thinking was the second line actually darker than the reference line?  And especially as most people say taking Clomid makes you ovulate later.  So, I am still doing my OPK till about CD18 (just to be on the safe side).  Nevertheless, would love to 'wait it out' to see what happens.  Let's hope the next 2ww flys by......fingers crossed for us all!!

Today is my 4DPIUI.  I do not have any symtoms except I feel tired and dizzy more than usual.  I think it's might be the medicine that I am taking right now (Prometrium 100mg twice a day).  I will go see my dr on march 24th for pregnancy test if AF not showing by then.

Good luck to all of you.  Wish you all have BFP.

Hi Heather, I am 4 dpo but not feeling very positive. dh had another s/a done today and we are hoping for a big change, if not I guess IUI would be the next step.  How are you?  Are you trying anything different?  Sorry I was gone for a while but I just needed to take some time not obsessing about TTC, now I'm back and ready to go!

I am also 4dpiui. I didn't feel crampy and bloated with this IUI as I did with the past ones so that makes me a little nervous. However, I'm really sick right now with a cold/flu so who knows what's in store for me. I leave in a couple days for vacation so I won't be able to keep up with everyone's results but when I get back I hope you all have BFPs. AF should be arriving while I'm still in California so I'll give you my update when I get back.
SSBD!

Hi girls! Glad to see that there are so many of us in the same boat right now :-)

kazah: Some women ovulate the same day as the LH surge, but most women ovulate the day after, so I would start counting dpo two days after you got your surge (the day after would be ovulation day, and the following day would be 1dpo). Best of luck! Hope clomid works for you!

sibs: Good to hear from you!!! Looks like you're already in the 1WW :-) Yay!!!

BabyBlue and nevaeh: I hope the IUIs worked for you this month! Oh, and nevaeh, have a great trip to California!

I'm so glad you're back! We've missed you :-) I might actually be heading for IUI soon too...or even IVF. Not really sure, since we did get pregnant on our own without any meds both times! But I went and saw my RE a couple of weeks ago (it's been a year since last time I saw her), and she suggested the next step for me would be injectibles and either IUI or IVF. However, since we don't have any fertility coverage, and the IUIs would cost a minimum of $3,500 per try and IVF at least $10,000, we decided to try for a few more months on our own before making a decision.

I'll cross my fingers that your DH's SA has improved! When will you get the results?

Heather5-I can't believe that your IUIs would cost so much!! My IUI usually runs about $276. that's crazy!

Yeah, I know! It's super expensive because of the injectibles and all the monitoring. Ugh!

Hi ladies!  I'm 8dpo and waiting to test.  I might try testing on Thurs (I'll be 10dpo then)  but I don't know if that will be too early!  I'm not feeling much except I've had extremely sore bb's the last couple days. I normally get that before af arrives but it feels very different.  I also felt crampy today, and normally I don't get any kind of cramping until af actually gets here.  Who knows, trying not to drive myself crazy and keep myself busy with other things!!  Good luck to you all!!!

heather5-yeah that's very true. that's without the cost of injectibles and u/s. i haven't done the injectibles yet but i do know that it's rather expensive for that.

nwmom-good luck! hopefully you get a BFP soon.

dh goes back to the dr on fri and we should know more then.  The questions is and I know the answer...we should probably spend the money & time to see the RE again but everytime we go we both have to miss a day of work b/c it's 4 almost 5 hrs away and ins doesn't pay for it, or should we go to a Dr down here who does IUI's.  My current Dr does not do them & I called today to make an appt w/ her to get her imput & she can't see me until 05/02!  The clock is ticking way too loud right now to wait that long!  I could go back to the Dr that made me mad & he would do an IUI for about $300 and he would do it ASAP.  ....I don't know what to do

nwmom: That sounds very promising. I've been pregnant twice (both unfortunately ended in a miscarriage), and both times I had very sore BBs and mild cramping before my expected AF date. I know some women on here has gotten a positive test as early as 9 dpo, but I think most have to wait until 12 dpo or longer, so don't give up if you get a negative at 10 dpo :-)

islandmama: That's a tough one. Four or five hours away would make things a bit more difficult. Do you think your RE would let you do the monitoring and everything there and refer you to the local place just for the IUI? Although, I guess that would still mean you would have to make the long drive a few times per cycle. Hmmm!

Well, I just got back from my regular obgyn. I went to ask him what he thought of the recommendations from the RE. I'm mostly concerned with the fact that she didn't want to do any further tests (to see if there's a reason for my miscarriages) and wanted me to move straight to injectibles. I'm just worried of paying lots and lots of money out of pocket, and then IF I get pregnant, having another miscarriage. He understood my concerns and gave me a referral to another fertility specialist, so I can get a second opinion. They might say the same thing, but at least then I would feel more comfortable moving forward. So, I'll probably call them sometime this week and see if I can get an appointment.

Until then, however, I'm still hoping for this cycle!!! SSBD to everyone!

Thanks, I'm hoping this is my month, but if it's not I'll keep on trying.  I had 3 m/c's last year and had surgery in Dec to fix a septate uterus so I'm hoping that things will work out this time.  They couldn't guarantee that the septate uterus was the reason for the m/c's but they thought it probably was.  I know if I do get my BFP I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the 1st trimester at least.  I hope you can get some good advice at your 2nd opinion, although hopefully you won't need it if you get your BFP this cycle!!!  Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes, my DH has had a SA (normal), and I have had ultrasound monitoring (the follicle always looked good), hormone blood tests (normal) and an HSG (normal - no blockages). I also know that I have Factor V, so I will need to be on low-dose heparin when I get pregnant again and a heartbeat is detected. I just know that there are other tests, like antibody tests and chromosome tests...but we'll see what the new RE says.

did they detect a heartbeat when you pregnant before?

First pregnancy, no heartbeat at first ultrasound (8.5 weeks). Second pregnancy, heartbeat detected at 5 weeks, 4 days, but miscarried that same night :-(  I think I will ask to start heparin right away next time I get pregnant, though, even though the theory is that Factor V is only an issue later on in pregnancy.
