The nasal spray is suprecur its to be taken so the dr can control my ovaries and things a bit better  then they will give me the injections to kick start them again before retrieval to give a better quality of egg hopefully.i was on clomid before and my body over reacted to it and i produced to many eggs the dr said so this way they can stop or even slow down my natural cycle and control it to get through the ivf.no icsi this time but if this doesnt work may consider it next time.hoping there doesnt have to b a next time though.but ur right about this site it has been a god send to me lately.i will probably just glue myself to the computer and here for the next few weeks hehehe.as i am terrified of needles so the injections is going to prove a very trying time for me.but im trying not to think to much of them.its all for a good cause xxso how is things coming along with u?

Big day coming up this next week! IVf is certainly overwhelming but lots of tips can be found on these forums to get through everything. I didn't discover medhelp until after my transfer and wished I'd been on it weeks before. Certainly would have made less trial and error on my part, especially with injections  :-)  The waiting is certainly the hardest, but you can do it!  Will you do ICSI after retrieval? Just curious.

And still I'm wondering what's with the nasal spray...

ok so now the doc is telling me my basline scan is the 5 july to start injections then with egg retrivial 10days later just wondering how long this takes all in.i wish i knew if it was going to work as am not the worlds most patient person lol.just getting very desperate now.i now am supposed to keep a open mind with this but am really struggling.but the doc has good success rates and has told me that i fall into the highest success rate with my circumstances (unexplaned infertility)with lsc on dh part but not that low that it couldnt happen naturaly it just hasnt happened as yet.hoping and praying that this works.took ur advise girls and purchased a rather huge book to keep my mind busy but unfortunetly iv finished it already and it never really managed to do the job as my mind keeps wondering back to IVF.really wanting this to work so badly.

I used the superfact nasal spray...It wasn't so bad. No real side effects until I started the estrace. Then the emotions kicked in...I found myself bawling hysterically because I didn't know why I was crying!!!!

trh0819 - huge congrats on your bfp!! very inspiring for those of us just starting out. Eimir - all the best for a bfp on 28th!!
whynot123 - there is an ivf in July thread on this forum that you should join, you're only slightly ahead of us. I hope you are managing ok with the nasal spray - I've heard it has some side effects as it puts your body in temporary menopause (yikes!). I'm not looking forward to that but will be starting in about 2 weeks. Not sure how I'm going to go with the every 12 hours regime, I would rather take it at home before I leave for work, but also don't want to have to wake at 6am on the weekend.
I agree with trh0819, distraction is the best way to get through all of this. Keep us posted on your progess. Wishing you all the best!!

I'm curious about the nasal spray. Never heard of that. I did first (and hopefully last) IVF this month. I thought the injections would be awful but they were surprisingly easy and painless. I transferred 2 five day embies on 6/5. tww is the worst but I agree with Eimir. Find ways to relax because it's a roller coaster for sure. Good days, great news, disappointing results, trying to refrain from taking hpts. Crazy. I set a goal each day and tried not to get too far ahead of myself. Found ways to keep busy and occupy my mind. I also had to remind myself regularly that every one is different and what didn't work for one, might work for another and ultimately I had to trust my doctor and follow his advice.

Good luck to you!

Hi on ivf train for the 3rd try, don't wory about the nasal spray , you get used to it, you're probably stressing as well. Try to relax and take each step as it comes, you'll have days of good news , ok news , no news and possible bad news. It is an emotional roller coaster. I found this site a great help and the girls are all so supportive. Try to embrace things as they arise , the glass is half full , at least you're on the journey with us  that's half the battle!! Good luck
