I think your body is just trying to get use to the change.  Were you on the pill before this first cycle of clomid?  I'm pretty sure that you can have sex.  As far as ovulation, check out this site:  http://babymed.com/Tools/fertility/clomid/

I wish you the best of luck!

I would suggest if you are moving towards unexplained then try Fertil-aid and maybe b-6 i have been reading good things about this vitamin!!
I would also suggest acupuncture i have read so so many success stories from people with either unexplained or nothing else worked like IUI's and such!!

I am new to this site and it feels so good not to feel all alone on this journey.  I am 30 and my dh is also.  We have been trying for two years.  I was on the depo shot for two years before this (big mistake) and now I have been diagnosed with PCOS.  I have lost weight and for the first time in a long time I have started having a regular cycle.  I never though getting my periord regularly would feel so great.

I read early in the post about cost of gonal-f. Check with your clinic, my RE takes donations of unused meds for his patients that don't have insurance or if insurance doesn't cover meds. Ask if your RE or clinic has the same.

Hi ladies ~ I am also new to this site, and WOW, what good information! It's so interesting to hear what everyone is going through, and we all seem to have the same common bond.

I'm 34 and my husband is 49 (don't gasp for air, I know!). Anyway, he has 2 kids from a previous marriage and had a vasectomy years ago. When we got married, he had a reversal and actually had sperm frozen. So, I ovulate just fine but the only sperm we have to work with is frozen.

We had to do IVF at this point, so early last month I started my injections, just last week Friday had 3 embryos tranferred (we froze the other 2) and am now waiting on pins & needles for my first pregnancy test next week! I live in Michigan, have pretty good insurance through work, however, none of it is covered. The medications themselves cost $1,800.00 and the IVF procedure/ultrasounds/blood work cost about $6,000-$7,000...so all in all almost $10,000. So sad that most insurance doesn't cover something that is so common.

Good luck to all of you and just remember that it's going to happen how it's supposed to (I know, easier said than done) :-)

My HSG tests came back good.  Nothing is wrong with my body except I don't ovulate.  :-/  My doctor is going to put me on Clomid again this month and we are going to do an IUI because as it turns out, while DH's sperm count is better than normal, along with the motility, etc. his semen is really thick.  It took the urologist a while to separate the sperm from the semen so my doctor said chances are the sperm isn't able to break through to get to an egg when I was ovulating using Clomid.  We are hoping that maybe we won't need it because the HSG test usually helps in conceiving but I've been spotting a few days and feel like AF is coming.  Even though I would have liked for it to happen naturally I'm just in a hurry to get AF here so we can take the next step.  Good luck to everyone!

Hi CRS,

I am new to all this so am not sure about your questions. Maybe you should post them to the forum elsewhere, as there are bound to be women dealing with some of these things. I wish you all the luck in the world.

As we wait for test results, DH and I have talked about sperm bank as a possible in the future. I read about people who did this and feeling great about it eventually, the child modeling after the husband and no one would have known it wasn't his biologically speaking.

I am new to this web site but am searching for answers suggestions really I think anything as to advice. So here goes with my story!

I am 26 years old my hubby is 34 we have been ttc with our first for a year now with no luck. I was diagnosed with mild- sever Endometriosis when I was 19 and had a Lap and a Hysteroscopy remove it.  About 2 years ago I was put on Lupron to try to control the growth of the Endo. With no luck ttc my Dh went and go a sperm analysis and he was diagnosed with Azoospermia (having no sperm in ejaculation).  We recently went to a fertility clinic and they did another sonogram on me and one ovary is abnormally small and the other is attached to my uterus because of the endo. The Dr. said our only real chance was for my Dh to have a testicular biopsy to see if there is sperm in his testicals at the same time as me having egg retrieval to begin IVF.  If there is no sperm we would have to go through a sperm bank.

My question is IVF costs a lot and there is no guarantee, and will my chances be worse with endo. Should I have another Lap before IVF to better my chances?  Should we look at seeing if his azoospermia is caused by a blockage and then try to correct it. Will I be able to go through a sperm bank emotionally? There are so many questions and I really am beginning to panic on what to do.

Can anyone give me any advice?

Hey, my hubby and I are currently in the middle of the adventure of ivf with ICSI, we are doing this at the rec. of our RE due to male low sperm count/motility. We are are the point were my hubby is doing his injections to try to raise his levels before we do the egg retrieval. Good luck to you and since I am a little further ahead then you in the process feel free to ask me any questions.....nicole

Hi there, I am 26 and have been ttc for almost 2 years in August, me and my hubby are doing ivf with ICSI hopefully shooting for the egg retrieval in August. I have had my dye test done, hysteroscopy done and all my hormone levels checked/bld. work and a couple of ultrasounds based on my last cycle. My hubby actually has the issues, sadly but thanks to modern day science we can hopefully still conceive together!!  What a adventure this has been so far and only more to come, keep me posted I will do the same,,,nicole

DH and I have been trying for 2.5 years.  1.5 was actively charting and taking my temp.  I have had all kinds of tests done and had the dye test last week.  I go to the doctors tomorrow to get the results.  I've tried Clomid to no avail.  I don't ovulate but DH is fine in the sperm department.  If you haven't done it yet, read Taking Charge Of Your Fertility.  I learned so much reading that book and recommend it to anyone and everyone who is TTC.
