Anyone over 35 and trying to get pregnant?

Hi there,

I am 38 yr old just had my tubes reversed on June 15th, 2007. Just would like to find others that are older and are trying to conceive as well. I have 3 children 22, 19, 8.

I see alot of younger women on here trying to conceive, though we all share a common desire, some people think older women are nutty for trying again. I get that alot , so looking for support, for other who are going through this same situation.

If you would like to share your story, PLEASE post !!! We get to start trying in about 6 weeks, just being 5 days outside surgery I can wait that time...LOL This is very exciting  yet stressful as the possibility of not becoming pregnant, and the xtra challenges older mommy to be's face.  I wish everyone who is trying the best of LUCK!!! =)

Kelly~

How about 41 and not trying again, ttc #1, lol. Actually, it would be #2 conceived. I lost #1 in Jan due to placental separation at 12wks. There are quite a few of is here. I know I'll miss someone but Jaggie, OrphanAnnie, Yvette come to mind right away. I'm on my second round of clomid, so hoping this is my month. I hope your wait is a short one :)

Hi Kelly,

I'm 36 and have been trying for almost 2 years.  I am 9 dp my 3rd iui.  I got pg on the first iui, but it was ectopic, and I lost my right tube.

I don't have any children and have never tried before now...  I know I want this more than anything, and feel like my life will lack real purpose if I don't have a family, but sometimes, when I think about the reality of it too much, I feel this fear well up inside me.  I think it is pretty natural to be more afraid of change and the unknown the older we get... So anyway,,, that's my story..

Good luck to you and congrats on the reversal.. I hope it all goes well for you... I'll keep an eye out for your updates..

I'm 36, and I've just recently found out I was pregnant with our first IVF try.  But I'm worried because my first HCG did not double and I feel great, which is not a good sign either, per my nurse and doctors.  I am scared that my levels are dropping and am anxious for friday to come, which is when I get my next bloodwork done.  Good luck to you....sounds like you are well on your way.
