Beta numbers

Hello to all!
I am new to this site and really need to share what I feel now.
I went through 3 cycle of IVF protocols which two end up to become IUI(due to very few eggs). Finally the third took!!!!. I had my transfer on the 19 of July(3d). I got a positive this past July 30th with a 142 beta, today I went for my second beta and my numbers were 208. The nurse who called me told me that my number were in the low side (they like to see a 66%) increase. I am devastated and almost crying. Anyone have gone or going through something similar? Does number really that bad?

Hello how are you? I hope everything is doing great for you and the baby
I had my 3rd blood work today, since Aug 3. My numbers once again did not double as expected. I only went to 1374 from 428 7 days ago. Another though phone call from the nurse. Tomorrow, I have an US to make sure  the baby is located in the right place, otherwise it is over for sure. I am very sad.

Congrats on your BFP as well. I will have my ultrasound on the 16th. It seems so far away and the wait is so difficult( have faith, at least I try). I wish you the best on your 2nd u/s.

First of all congrats on ur BFP.  good ur numbers are jumping up. 428 is a good number.My numbers also running on low side. but they found a heart beat at 6th week. Im 8 weeks now,tomorrow is my 2nd u/s. more nervous. An u/s will clear all ur doubts. When r u going for ultrasound?

Hey ladies! I feel much better today. My numbers went to 428 (indeed it doubled). I still have to go back on the 10th for more blood-work and my ultrasound is scheduled on the 16th.
AnnieBrooke to answer your question they transferred 3 eggs. You might be right...because they d0o not have another explanation of my second numbers. They are being cautious, and are waiting for the 10th.

Did you do another BETA yet?  I am hoping for huge jumps in #'s for you!!  Please update!

Did they only transfer one embryo, or did they transfer more than one?  If one, I would be a little concerned, but if more than one, it is possible that they both (or all) took and then one faded, which might account for less rapidly rising numbers overall.  Will you get another blood test in two days?  It will tell a lot.
