2 Week Wait

Can someone tell me if it's normal to have cramps since day 4 after embryo transfer. This is our second round of IVF. The first time was just really awful with the clinic almost joking and laughing telling us that our embryos seem to of deteriorated since they last looked at them. Leaving is completely deflated with a define sense of it not working straight from the beginning. This time at a different clinic they were so much nicer and seemed more confident. Leaving me almost convinced it had worked before we had even left the hospital. I'd had terrible cramps and pains still from the retrieval but that has now subsided. However since day 3 I've had this dull ache which occasionally got slightly noticeable. It's now day six and I still have the ache, my boobs are huge and really sore and I have a creamy White discharge. Sorry to be graphic. Is the ache normal or am I going to start my period? And is the discharge just because of cyclogest? I've been inserting these rectally 2 times a day.
We had 2 embryos transferred on the 3rd november. 1 grade 1+ 8 cell and the other grade 2, 8 cell.
Please I'm driving myself mad. One min I'm skipping over the moon. The next I'm as low as anything!!!!!

Amy. Really sorry haven't replied to you! Haven't really checked my emails as have been busy at work.

I'm really sorry to hear about your BFN. You know I think it's all about whether it's your right time or not. I had exactly the same feelings this time in my 2ww that I did in my first 2ww. So I think it's so hard to tell whether or not it's worked or not.

We waited 3 years until our second cycle. We never really discussed it as it was (what I felt) such a traumatic time. I feel that your built up so much that it's actually going to happen that when it didn't it was just crushing. For us both! We just concentrated on us and did some really nice trips and just led a really nice time together. It was only when we were both in a really good place, with us, that we nee iced to do it again. So I think it's a nice idea to wait a few cycles. Just enjoy you time. You'll know when your ready again.

We actually had a BFP. Over the 2ww I actually ended up testing early. I couldn't wait. By this time I just had a feeling. I'd had 2 days of what seemed like (but slightly different from) period pains and when it didn't arrive, I knew.

I'm now just waiting for my viability scan. Which is actually worse than the 2ww as you have to wait 3 weeks for them to find out whether or not (as I translated it) the pregnancy can go ahead. So again every little thing I'm wondering whether it's good or bad. This is on the 7th Dec. I've now waited a week 1/2 so were getting there.

I really wish you both the best of luck. Next and this time. Xx

Its hard the first time as you dont know whats normal and what isnt and that TWW is a killer! It was hard to hold off the HPTs.
I really hope u ladies get your BFP!!
We have now decided to have a few cycles rest and enjoy xmas. Would love to know how u both get on though! Best of luck! SSBD

Hello, I've been reading over both your concerns and I must tell you how relieved I am to hear that most of the cramps and tender breast and aches is normal, I went in for egg collection the 21st Nov the embryo transfer was on the 24th witch was Thursday past. I to have been feeling aches and pains and am so worried that my period will come, this is our first time and I really don't know what to expect or what I should do at this point.
If there is anything you can tell me or even share some wisdom, my partner and I would be very grateful because at this stage we are worried sick. I am 28 year of age and my partner is also 28, I don't know if that would make a difference but i'm just letting you know.

The doctor was able to collect 8 eggs from me and my partner had a biopsy, they managed to fertilize 4 good embryos and reinsert two.

I'm not sure if I gave all the info I should have but i'm very new to this sort of thing if you can shed some hopeful light on this I would be forever grateful.

Hi Amy

Thank god someone to talk to. No one really understands what I'm talking about half the time lol! My partner tells me not to drive myself mad. It's just that you go from regular appointments and injecting daily to literally nothing!!
I test nest Thursday, and it cannot come quick enough ;)

We had a 3 day transfer to. My doctor told me to do the cyclogest rectally because I'm prone to thrush.

I'm the same as you any symptom. Is it, isn't it?
Crossing my fingers for you to. Keep in touch

Hi,
I had my ET sat, I didnt have cramps but have started today just mild what i have read its completely normal, we had a 3dt of a 8 cell and 9cell ebryo! When do you test?
One thing i am intreeged is why your inserting the cyclogest rectally? Im too on cyclogest and using then vaginally twice daily. Is this something your doc has advised? How you getting on with the tww im only a few days in and its driving me crazy im looking out for every symptom possible but all iv had is mild cramping so far and a little tired.
Crossing my fingers for you for that BFP!! Good luck :-)
