Missing Birth Control Pill on IVF cycle

Hello,
I started taking my Birth control pills last week.... I forgot to take a pill on Thursday. As soon as I remembered Friday morning, I took it and then took the Friday pill that night. On Saturday I woke up and was bleeding. Am I getting my period? Did I just ruin my IVF cycle due to missing one pill?
Thank you for your input!

Just curious, what did your nurse say about you missing one BCP? I’m in the same boat. I forgot to take my pill yesterday but took it today as soon as I remembered.

Thank you I appreciate the info...I'm just keeping my  fingers crossed that it doesn't ruin my ivf time line. But I guess the worst that will happen is it does ruin it and I just have to wait until next month to start. I just get so impatient. :)
Thanks again!

I've missed a pill before. If you miss one dose, take it as soon as you remember; then take the next pill at your usual time. You may take two tablets in one day. If you miss two doses (two days' worth) in a row, take two tablets for the next two days; then continue with your regular schedule.

Whenever one or two doses are missed, you should use a second method of contraception for the next seven days in addition to taking the pills. If you miss three doses in a row, you should notify your doc for instructions. You probably will need to throw away the rest of the tablets in that cycle pack and start over with a full month's supply. Another method of contraception should be used until at least seven doses have been taken in the new cycle. Missing a pill can cause spotting or light bleeding. Make sure that no more than seven days pass at the end of the 21-day cycle before you start your next pack of pills.

I hope this helps and holds you over through the holiday weekend until you can get a hold of your nurse or doc on tuesday.  i also hope this doesn't ruin your ivf time line.

good luck!

Talk to the nurse managing your cycle.  It might be all right, but you need the advice of your particular IVF program.
