Clomid Buddies for 11/27/11

Hi Ladies!!! I am starting Clomid tomorrow cycle day 5-9 , 50mg. A little bit about me! My hubby and I have a 2 yr old daughter, who was conceived by Clomid 25mg, HCG shot, and IUI. My first cycle was successful! Now 2 yrs later, I am trying just clomid 50mgs, and cycles induced by Provera. Anyone else starting tomorrow 5-9? I am nervous this time, and have been just praying that this works for us. I am also new to this site, so hello everyone.

I'm starting clomid tomorrow days 5-9. I went today for my baseline scan and everything was fine. I go back on December 2nd to see if I have any eggs, if i do then I get to take the Ovidrel shot. The doctor does not think i'll have to do an IUI, so we will try it the "natural" way. I really hope the first time works for us, that would be a spectacular christmas present!

A little about me, i'm 27 years old, no kids, married for two years. My husband and i have been TTC for almost a year. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and i also have to be induced with Provera to get any kind of period.

I have PCOS and I have been taking metformin for 3 months. I found out I was pregnant not long after starting metformin but I also found out it was a tubal pregnancy. I had a shot to remove it and had a wait FOREVER before we could  try again. I started my first round of Clomid 50 mg on the 24 days 3-7. Fingers crossed it works the first time! I have not had any side affects yet so we will see! What about you all?

i was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 18. So i've been dealing with it for awhile now (im 27) my husband and i have been TTC for almost a year on our own. my gyne decided to try clomid, and we tried that for six cycles before he referred me to a wonderful RE named Dr. Loret demola. I love him! excellent dr, he found my problem right off. When he ordered a HSG test, we found that my tubes were blocked. he was almost certain that i would have to have both tubes removed and i would have to do IVF. However, when he went in on september 1st of this year, the only thing that was wrong was that my bowels were attached to my tubes. He seperated them and i'm 100 percent perfect! so that was a blessing i was praying for.

I havnt had hardly any side effects this round, however when i did it previously, i was the hot flash queen. i literally thought i was going through menopause. It was horrible. I just started today the 1st pill today. and then after i get done with this, i have to do a shot of ovidrel. Fingers crossed it works the first time due to the medicine is expensive, however, i will not give up on my dream of having a baby.

Hi everyone I am a little bit earlier than all of you but started my first round of clomid 50g on the 22nd thus month. My husband and I had 2 mc's last year and a pregnancy that ended as our beautiful boy Baxter born at 30 weeks sleeping. Since then nothing we have gone from having hsg's and being told my tubes were ruined to having a diff tube test done and seeing they were fine. The only thing that seems to be happening that could be the cause is I seem to ovulate day 16/17 and get my period day 26. So we are trying clomid. It's great, I got migraines, insomnia and I now have a constant uncomfortable feeling lower tummy. Migraines went a day after the last pill, so can't complain. We have been given 3 rounds of this and then put in the ivf category. It's devastating me. I am 30 and my partner is 31 we have gone from getting pregnant from looking at eachother to this. Oh and hot flushes they are wonderful!!

ah yes the wonderful clomid. This isnt my first dance with the wonderful medicine. husband and I started TTC last year and couldnt get pregnant my gyne finally sent me to a RE who did all kinds of tests. I found out that i do infact have PCOS, i am a diabetic (news to me) and after the last test my tubes were blocked…Joy oh joy, i was so devestated.

However, when he did the HSG test, it showed i had blocked fallopian tubes, he went in and found that my bowel had attached itself to my tubes, he seperated the two and my tubes are fine! horray! then came the words "im putting you on clomid with the ovidrel trigger" i too now have headaches, hot flashes and i'm a moody moody person LOL.

I keep telling myself that this is for the greater good and that i WILL have a baby come hell or high water….Its just something i have my mind set on and i'm a very determined person. However, ask me in a few months when something else goes wrong and i'm sure i'll be upset, but its nothing i cant overcome. I hope that this first round works! my ovidrel shots are out the wazoo!

Hi ladies thanks so much for responding!! as I see, I have clomid buddies!!! Today was day 2, for me on Clomid 50mg. I have a 2 yr old baby girl,which was conceived via IUI , HCG shot, and clomid 25mg. I got pregnant my first cycle after 2 yrs of trying. ! I was told I have ovulation dysfunction , which to me seems alot like PCOS, but I was never told by my Dr. that I had PCOS. I lived in ILLINOIS, when I had my first baby, and now currently living in Arizona. I really loved my Dr. in IL, my AZ DR is so convinced that clomid on its own will do the job for my hubby and I. I have not yet experienced hot flashes as of yet with the 50mg. I feel great, today I felt so weak through very tired. , but I worked out and felt a little better. I have been charting :) baby dust to you all....:)

Finished my last pill last night and the only side effect that I have had is hot flashes. I woke up last night feeling like I was dieing of heat and my house was set on 65 degrees. I also had two fans blowing and my husband fussing because he was freezing! But I have only had that one side effect and only on one day so I am super excited about that! I keep looking at my calendar where I have everything written and keep hoping that the end of the next few weeks will hurry and get here!

Heather, today I charted and my temp was 98.0 again, however at work, I was sooo hot!!!, and even when I gave DH a hug, he said wow you are burning up!!...I am having cramping  as well on my right side, which is kind of weird. I went to the Dr. today, and my levels were great, just counting down the days for my ovulation...@ Heather please keep us updated!!!!! I have 2 days left on clomid. Are you doing HCG shots as well ???

The only symptoms i'm having is that my right and left sides are bothering me in the lower abdomen. I go back to the doctor on friday for a s-gram to see about if the clomid is working, if so then they will tell me to do my shot.

Hello!!! Im starting clomid today for the first time! A bit about me..fiance and i have been trying to conceive our first child for almost 2 yrs. Did tons of bloodwork, sperm counts, hsg..all came back normal. I have been charting my bbt as well over the last year or so..apparently my problem is that i dont always ovulate. I wasnt expecting to be able to start clomid until next week thinking my cycle would have started then..but it came yesterday..im hoping the first round of clomid works and by christmas we will be pregant..what a present that would be!!! I hope this happens for all of us soon!!! TONS OF BABY DUST TO YOU!!! :)

No I am not doing the HCG shots. I started out taking Metformin for my PCOS and it worked because I got pregnant the first month of taking it. It was a tubal pregnancy so I had to have it removed luckily only with the shot. My doctor wants to make sure I am ovulating so he has me on Metformin and Clomid. He tested my progesterone on day 21 and said it was low but my cycles are 30 days not 28 so I think that it was low because it was taken too early. If this combo doesn't work then we will change it but we will have to wait and see!!!

I'm taking 1500 of Glumetza (metformin) and 50mg of clomid. However, my metformin is because i'm now border line diabetic BOO! So now i've started a new diet. I went in and had a ultrasound done on saturday and made sure everything was fine before i started the clomid. I go back on Friday december 2nd to have another ultrasound done to make sure everything is ok, and then he will tell me when i can do my ovidrel trigger shot. FIngers crossed that this works!!!!!!!!

Went to the doctor today for a u/s. The tech that did it said that i have 15 follicles on each ovary : ) but there is only one that 10mm. They are supposed to call me back today with the doctor says : ) fingers crossed that when i go back next week everything is ok!

Marten2009: Yahh! That's great and I pray that it gets bigger and you are able to have the HCG trigger shot soon!

Everyone: I wish that I could chart my temps but lucky me I have a cold. My temps are already low at 96.7 normally but they have ranged from 98.6 to 95.3 the other day. So lucky me I can't chart :) ohh well! I am not sure if it is because all I can take for my cold is Mucinex or if it is just what Clomid is doing to me but (this is TMI so sorry!) I have been dry! Has anyone else experienced this? If so how do you fix it?! I am at 11 days past my pd and worried about this!

I'm on Clomid and I have not had that problem, I would say its the mucinex but I would ask the doctor to be sure :)

They called me back today, and i go back on the 7th for another s/g to see if the follicle has grown and for "pre conception" blood work. I have no idea what they are testing for there, but we'll see!

Ok girls, are you having the same thing happen to you?

I have had small cramps all day off and on.They have been very slight and only last for about 30 seconds. I am 13 days into my cycle. Do you think this is a sign of ovulation?

It very well could be. I've been using the OPK i started the first one today after checking the calender link you posted. I have not had any cramping, and i go back on the 7th which would be day 10 for me to check to see where i'm at.

Hi,

I was going to Dr. Murat at the fertility center of IL in highland park, IL . I loved my dr. Sorry Ladies I have been not feeling too well, I Have horrible hot flash and crazy pain on the right side!!!! ...today I am on cycle day 13. my temps has been staying around 97.5....on cycle day 11, my temp was 99.0 so I am unsure if I ovulated..I was so sick with hot flashes, I didnt even use a opk. I go back to my dr. next week for testing....I dont know if I could have ovulated on cycle day 11, but I BD every other night...so..

I don't know if it is just me but I have been having cramp type things for almost a week on and off. Today I had a pinching feeling in (TMI) my cervix area. I am not sure what any of this means but I go on Monday to have bloodwork done to make sure I O'ed. Is anyone else having the same symptoms or am I just an odd ball like always!? :)

i've been having twinges on my left side. I went for a sono today, and i havnt ovulated, I do have two follicles one @ a 20 and the other 16 1/2. so he went ahead and advised me to do the ovidrel trigger tomorrow at 9 am and then dh and i have some work to do : ) lol…

It could possibly be that your getting ready to ovulate. I know that i always start getting weird cravings…which started today..

Hey, I am 28, and tryin for my first baby.
My doc put me on Clomid this month of my cycle and I have PCOS. Wel, my next period got a week late (first time in my life - I am a regular 28 to 30 days cycle). Tested slightly positive for preg last week. Am going to take the tet gai tomorrow. If it turns out positive (with a dark line this time!) then will contact my great Doc and it will be my 6th week (if...!). Fingers crossed and lots of baby dust to all!
