Clomid (Helen, ashort, rumsy and anyone else)

Just wanted thank you guys for your info on Clomid. I called my doctor and left a message this morning to see if he'll let me try it. Just got a call back from his nurse, who is soooo sweet! She's been helping me through my two miscarriages and has always been super nice to me. She said my doctor is out sick today, but hopes he'll be back tomorrow. She said she's going to ask him then and try to convince him to let me try it :-) So, hopefully he'll agree. I'll let you guys know what happens...

I do have one more question, though. I'm CD3 today, so will I still be able to try it this month if he gives me a prescription tomorrow or the next day?

Thanks, jenandjon and Sam! My doctor gave me two refills after this month, and said to start CD 5 all three months. We'll see how it affects this cycle...I'll definitely keep you guys posted!

Oh, and Sam, you've conceived using clomid before, right? Did you ovulate on your own before starting clomid?

Tina1111 - thanks for that info on the timing difference between starting on day 3 and starting on day 5

I did find some info that a research study showed that more women BFP starting on day 3 than on day 5.

On pre-seed, if you go to their internet site you can locate a store near you that carries it.  A fertility acupuncturist carries it near me.  BTW - anybody on here use acupuncture to treat infertility?

Heather 5:  Keep us posted as to how Clomid affects your cycle.  Did Dr. say start day 5 for all cycles?

Glad you got it!
I typically O around cd13 but with clomid I did not get LH surge till cd14-15.  LP was also longer.  At first I thought I may be pregnant since AF was few days late but then I realized that it was clomid.

Good luck!

Well....I did get it today! They called in a prescription for me this morning, so I just took my first pill today on CD 5 :-) Yay! I really hope it will help me produce a nice, strong eggie this month (or perhaps a couple)!

I've heard some of you on here say that clomid delayed your ovulation. I'm wondering if that will happen to me, since I normally ovulate pretty early (CD12 or 13), and I won't finish my clomid pills until CD9. Any thoughts?
