Hi!!  Sorry it took me awhile to write back!

Tryingforbaby2-  Thanks for the advice!  I was much better the next day- just a few twinges in my ovaries for two days afterwards...  I had my CD 21 progesterone test last Thursday and it was 29- so at least I know that I did O...  How are you doing?

Good luck to everyone!!!!

I had MAJOR cramping during the time of +opk. I had pain in my back, stomach and hips and I couldn't sleep at all the first night. I was really worried that I had a cyst or something and felt like I was going to go nuts. The pain did ease up about 24 hours later and had no pain at all on day 3. I hope that helps you.

Wannababybump- This is my second month using OPK's.  I bought the Wal-Mart bargain brand and I think I got what I paid for!!  I wonder if I test it that my Diet Pepsi may be ovulation too!

I have been so crampy and bloated today- I hope this means that I may O soon.  My temp was elevated by 0.7 degrees this morning- but I also got a + OPK test today.  =)  We shall see!!

Tryingforbaby2- Did you have major abdominal pains when you got your + OPK or a headache?
=)
Good Luck everyone!!!!

I am on my 1st cycle of clomid at 100mg days 5-9. I am on CD 22 and 4 dpo now. I had mild side effects at first (some bad headaches) and then when I got my +opk I had MAJOR pains for 2days which went away just as fast as they came thank goodness. Wish you lots of luck and baby dust. Keep us all posted!

Hey there,

My OPKs have been positive for 4 days... so I guess you could say that I've had some weird luck with them... this is the first time I've used them so I don't know if it's normal for me, but I don't know what to make of it. Also, my temps are sporadic and still low. .

Thanks for the luck, same to you! =] I'm on CD 22.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences!  I had some BAD headaches from the Clomid- that was about it for side effects.

I am beginning to think that my OPK is full of BS- as I have had three +'s (on non-consecutive days!) and no temperature shift as of yet.  Anyone else having bad luck with their OPK?

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14 the month after my first period.  I had a fist-sized cyst removed and took BCP's for years.  However, I did not have any trouble getting pregnant with my 13 year-old son.  I never had to take any meds to induce a period; I just had cycles lasting 46 days.

amandamae- Your progesterone level was great! At least you know that you ovulated!! =)  Good thoughts going your way!!

wannababybump- Good luck this month!!

roubika- good luck to you too!!!!

msteri- How is your little girl doing? :)

BTW- what cycle day is everyone on?  Today is day 18 for me

Good luck to everyone!!

Hey there! I can't tell you yet if Clomid 1st round is a success for me, but I can tell you that I'm on my 1st round and just got my positive OPK yesterday, so we're BDing like crazy and hoping it works out! I didn't get the hot flashes like most girls get, I didn't really have any odd side effects while taking Clomid. Recently though, I've had achy legs and I'm feeling stuff going on in my tummy but I am not familiar enough to know what I'm feeling. Past few days I've had to come home from work and take a nap because I've been so tired, but that could be due to a number of things!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS and since I stopped taking birth control 4 years ago I had never started a period on my own. Took provera for 10 days which induced a period and took clomid 50mg on CDs 5-9. Feel free to add me as a friend and ask any questions you might have! I'll be happy to lend you what knowledge I do have (even if it's not much! =])

Thank you. I didn't have any side effects so I initially thought it had failed. I was very wrong. Good luck and baby dust to all!

I finished my first round of clomid 50mg a few weeks ago. Just a few more days to find out if it worked this cycle. I will try and keep you posted. I too have pcos and have been ttc for some time now. The side effects I had from clomid were some hot flashes (but not too bad - I took it at night and slept through most of them), very odd and vivid dreams, and after I finished the clomid I ended up with what I thought was a yeast infection. Dr. said not to treat it as it was a side effect (itching and burning down there). After a few days of no treatment, it has mostly cleared up. Just got back cd 21 test results - progesterone at 17.6 which is acceptable and good (it only indicated I ovulated, progesterone does not suggest pregnancy). Well, good luck with your first cycle...try to stay paitent (yeah right)!
