Clomid and clomiphene citrate are the same thing. Clomid is the brand name like Tylenol and clomiphene citrate is the generic name like acetaminophen. That's the reason for the price difference since brand names are always higher. From my understanding, Serophene is also the same as Clomid, but just made by a different manufacturer, hence the different name. As for them working, I got pg with my son on the first cycle of 50 mg 4 years ago. Right now, we are ttc and I'm in the TWW on my first cycle of 100 mg and moving to 150 mg next month if we don't get a BFP. We've been ttc since March. Hope this helps! Lots of baby dust to you!
thanks so much for your information!!! which one are you using? the clomid or the generic brand? do you order yours through your doc or online?
i hope you get prego again really really soon! God bless! :)
I used the generic brand - they are the exact same thing, so I wouldn't worry about it. It's a fairly common drug.
I take the generic. Since they have the same chemical makeup, I don't think there's any difference. The only meds I've heard people say they can't take generic is certain types of heart medications and maybe a few others. I get mine from a local pharmacy and it runs $14.95 a month so it's pretty cheap. Lots of luck to you!! I'm at 11 dpo and the wait is killing me. Dr. said to not even test until 16 dpo! Luckily, my temp is still up and I had some small spotting at 7 dpo (hopefully implantation) but it's all gone now.
sounds like you might be prego!!! the spotting is a great great sign!!! hope you are!!! let me know!
thanks for the info by the way!
