What do you ladies think is it better to take clomid CD 3-7 or CD 5-9 which one is more effective?

I took it on CD 3-7 and I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle so I say that one is more effective :) I hope you get your BFP soon! Good luck!

I take it cd 3-7 also. I am on my second cycle and I really hope its my month! But I think that people are told to take clomid on the different days cuz of their condition whatever that may be and what their dr thinks will be for affective for you. Good luck!

I took it CD 5-9 and got pregnant on my first cycle. I don't know which would be more effective for you but 5-9 definitely was effective for me.  Which days did your doctor tell you to take it?  I would go with the days the doctor suggested and then discuss switching if those days don't work for you.

I took it on cd 5-9 and got a pregnant on the first cycle. I asked my dr why the difference? She said it really makes no difference at all. She said that older doctors tend to go with 3-7, while newer doctors use 5-9. From the research I have done on it (because I was very curious too) is that days 3-7 can make you ovulate sooner, but days 5-9 help the egg to be bigger/better. Either way, each doctor has their own preference, and I have found that drs really like for you to follow their instructions and not your own rules! LOL

Thank you Ladies....My doctor told me to take it CD 5-9 she pt me on 100 mg for the first time ever...I took one cycle last month now this will be my second. Hopefully it will work.......I ovulate on my own I just don't know what's going on in there,,,,lol

my doctor put me on days 3 - 7 (100mg) ...not  pregnant yet...but it did make me ovulate on day 14 and regulated my cycle..
