Donor Embryos Success

I am going in for my first cycle this month for a donor embryo transfer.  Has anyone out there going through the same procedure? What was your experience? What was the outcome?  I just turned 45-year old.  Is there anyone my age did this and had a baby?

Hello,

I had taken medications to do a mock cycle; I was suppose to do a mock transfer.  Anyway, the shots that I have taken, one of them was deprovra, had stopped my period for the test in June, then they gave me provera start it again.  It worked and my period came in July. But August and September, it was a no-show.  My period returned in October, but not showing again this month.  To do a mock transfer, I would need a period.   I need the mock transfer before I can do an embryo transfer.
Should I take the medication to alter my hormones and start my period or wait for nature to do its thing?  Do you need a period if it is just a transfer, can the doctors give you medication to thicken your lining?  How can a 56-year-old give brith to three? Most women are past meapause by that age.

I know you know my story - but I will post anywat
BTW - WOO congrats on your upcoming transfer
I used donor embies many times
The times I miscarried I tool medrol - so I shy away
I have used estrace vaginally to get my lining thicker
I only took the baby aspirine while my lining was thickening but no later than 7 days before transfer

I am prggo with twins - i am 43 - my age is not a factor!! They transferrred 3 embies (I asked for four they agreed - but then the day of they said they looked so good they would not do more than three!)

When I left there I went to the hotel and stayed in bed all day - got up to potty and that is it
next day - stayed in bed all day
next day went to breakfast at hotel and then stayed in back of car laying down most of day as we traveled
for the next 7 days I stayed laying down often especially after I put supositories in.  I only slept on my back.  I drank lots of milk
I had my beta drawn on day seven
I did not listen to their advice and have any bloodwork before beta, I also did not listen to their advice and have u/s at beta of 2500 I waited till 6 week u/s so I could see HB

GOOD LUCK  I AM excited for you

I conceived via donor eggs at age 44 so I don't think age's a factor when donor embryos or eggs are used.  My pregnancy went beautifully and I delivered a healthy baby boy at almost age 45.

I wish you much luck - pm me if you have any questions!! - jennifer

If you don't get a response you might try and pm 40smama and/or babyprayers.  They both have had success with it.

Best of luck to you!!
