Endo, IVF, Chance of Success?

I just found out I have a lot of endo inside after I had a lap to remove my right tube due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.  I am going to an IVF clinic monday for a consult. Does having endo make it hard to get pregnant? or more risky for IVF?

My background is that I have 2.5year old daughter and have lost 5 other babies (2 were ectopic, 2 requiring d/c's, & 1 natural miscarriage).  I'm so nervous...and scared they will turn us down..

Any input would be wonderful. THank you in advance .

I had a surgery to remove fibroids on 2008 and after the surgery the Dr. Told me I moderate to severe endometriosis. I TTC naturally ever since w/o success. Last year my new OB did a hysterosalpingogram and determined that my tubes were blocked by endometrial scarring, she wanted to startme on Lupron and do surgery to check/ unblock my tubes. Instead, I consulted with a RE who recommended to start IVF. My hormonal levels were good, my DH was perfect, the ultrsaounds showed small fibroids but nothing to worry about. She also did a histeroscopy and my uterus looked perfect, no endometriosis or fibroids so we decided to go ahead with IVF. I had my ET on 12/19 and my firts Beta on 1/3. I'm pregnant and happy.  Don't  worry, it is possible to have. Successful IVF with endometriosis.

I had lost my left tube to an ectopic in early October and the doctor showed me the pictures he took during the surgery which showed there was endo in the tube.  I asked him if this would affect my chances with IVF and he said that just because it was in the tube it didn't mean it was definitely in the uterus and even if it was in the uterus it shouldn't affect the IVF. I asked my RE the same questions and got the same answer. The doctor who did the surgery said that my endo wasn't that bad, but the RE never even saw the pictures so he didn't even know how bad the endo was and he still dismissed it as not a problem.

Good luck at your consult. I hope that you get approved for the IVF.
