Thank you ladies, I know I can count on you all. I was not able to check your posts till now since my good computer broke and I had to suffer for four days waiting for our IT here at work to fix it.
I was told by my clinic that progesterone letters above 10 are desired. I was on prometrium- one cycle of 100mg/oral/day, next cycle was 200mg/oral/day, and then the third one is when I got pregnant. They had me on prometrium until I was out of my first trimester - at my 13 week appt the dr said I could stop. I was put on prometrium as a preventative measure - I had had two early term miscarriages. I think the dr put me on as a 'just in case' kind of thing. They did check my progesterone levels at 7dpo - and they were in the 30s, then in the 50s the cycle I was pregnant. Hope this helps!
I agree! Your numbers are very high, so no need for progesterone supplements. It's normal for the progesterone levels to start going back down as you approach AF (unless you're pregnant, of course). That's why they test at 7 dpo.
Good luck to you, tea_berries!
thank you for your comment. I feel much better. Sometimes I think I am just looking for TTC things to obsess about. Anyway thanks, and I hope your numbers will look great this cycle. Good luck on your IUI. crossing my fingers for you
Your progesterone numbers look great! so I doubt that you would need it.. most of the time low progesterone or luteal phase defect would show up on cd21 bloodwork, and have a short luteal phase.. i had spotting starting around 10dpo when my progesterone was low... you can buy progesterone cream otc, but not prometrium that i'm aware of! those are great numbers though! good luck! : )
