FSH high levels-need advice!

Hi all wondered if anyone could help me. I am 30 and have just had some blood test results for FSH. Mine was 11.8 but the nurse didnt seem to think this was a bad result. Read though that up to 10 is good and past that not so good. When the blood was taken I was on 100mg of Chlomid and had been for 3 months. (Had 50mg for 5 months previous to that). Could the chlomid be affecting my results and is 11.8 too high for IVF. Only 30 and worried that my results is abnormal. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks for your advice and best wishes. Wondering if maybe the high doses of chlomid that I was on was affecting my levels?

Day 3 FSH level FSH interpretation for DPC Immulite assay
Less than 9 Normal FSH level. Expect a good response to ovarian stimulation.
9 - 11 Fair.  Response is between normal and somewhat reduced (response varies widely). Overall, a slightly reduced live birth rate.
11- 15 Reduced ovarian reserve. Expect a reduced response to stimulation and some reduction in embryo quality with IVF. Reduced live birth rates on the average.
15 - 20 Expect a more marked reduction in response to stimulation and usually a further reduction in embryo quality. Low live birth rates. Antral follicle count is an important variable.
Over 20 This is pretty much a "no go" level in our center. Very poor (or no) response to stimulation. "No go" levels should be individualized for the particular lab assay and IVF center.

However, since you are very young the results van change month by month. Don't worry, It will work. I don't think you could posibly have "Reduce Ovarian Reserve" since you are only 30 so maybe it is something else. Anyway, even if you have reduced ovarian reserve those eggs are still GOOD and yo only need ONE!!!

Good Luck:)
