My DH didn't want to test either at first because men hav so much pride and being told that their boys can't swim or anything related to the situation they believe can be damaging to them and it takes alot of encouraging from us to help them along the way 2 yrs later and he found that his boys were just fine It was me how had the problem. I only have the right tube and it was blocked but after surgery all ia well and we are on 6dpiui Gook luck in talking to him dont give up talk to him about a donor repeatly daily and remind him how important this is to the both of you .. GOOD LUCK
My dh hates it also. My dh has had to do it twice...both times came back normal. The first time was messed up because they sent me to the wrong waiting room for the lab....so we had to start over!! UGH! My new RE wants to do it again. Both Dr.s have allowed us to do it at home and then I race the sample to the lab within the hour. Maybe your dh would be comfortable enough doing it at home. If your dh does it at home....you can be a little helper.....
I figure if I have had to go through months of prodding and poking and needle sticks, he can get active in a cup in the privacy of his own home.
Male infertility is not uncommon and it is easy to test for. Meds and female infertility tests are expensive and you should not throw your money away if the problem is with your husband. My DH was very unwilling to test as well; took 6 months to do the testing but when results came back normal he was happy he tested. Your doc will most likely be unwilling to prescribe clomid without your husband testing first and until you try for some time (around 1 year).
