This was very helpful information.  I'm going in for my 2 week HCG blood test tomorrow and my doctors/nurses have told me NOTHING.  I called today and finally found out that over 5 was the "magic number" and that I'd have to check in every 3-4 days.  So much for my vacation I had planned!:(

Surprised your nurse wouldn't explain the number to you to help ease your mind until Thursday. Like the others said, the number indicates you're definitely pregnant, but on Thursday the number should at least double. Numbers can be low and turn into a totally viable pregnancy. Just take the next two days easy and pray for 25 or better on Thursday.

This # is low but positive pregancy's have come out of #'s starting out like this.  Go when they tell you & continue to ask what the # is........it needs to continue to  double/go up. Hang in there.......right now you are pregnant.

It doesn't mean a neg anything over 5 means you are pregnant. The numbers should double ever other day. So just stay positive that everything will work out. I've just learned a great deal about it so feel free to reach out to me if you need to.
