clucky

i am 19 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 14 i have longed for a baby for 3 years but have been waiting till i met some one desent i am now in a stable relationship with my partner but he is only 16 we are both the oldest children and have both had to bring up our younger siblings due to our parents having habbits so of course we have had to mature alot earlier than a kid should have to, my partner and i also had his younger brother and sister live with us for quite some time, i moved out of home when i was 16 and my partner and i have both recently moved in with my parents as they have pulled there heads in and have been doing well for over a year we have been talking about trying other ways such as fertility tablets etc my family thinks it's a good idea considering it would still take us a while to fall and by the time our angel is born my partner will be close to 18. i love kids and have been a real mother hen all my life, if i didn't have PCOS i would wait till we were both atleast in our mid 20's but we don't want to miss our chance of conceiving our own babbies, we plan to marry when my partner turns 18 so now that i've told you my life story i would like other peoples opinions on weather were making the right decision and also if people have sugestions on certain tablets to recomend,p.s i lost my virginity when i was 16 and i have only had a few partners but have never realy used contraception and i have never fallen pregnant

It is fairly easy to get pregnant with pcos if on the right meds like metformin and clomid. However I don't mean to be judgemental but it looks like you have been having very careless sex. Having a few partners and not using protection is very unresponsible and may not lead to pregnancy but to STDS. I would get checked for that before you do anything. Having your own baby and caring for family members is totally different. You need to bring a baby up in a stable home enviornment with money and insurance and safety. Why not wait till you are on your feet older, married and have a good job and have your own home. You and your partner would be selfish to bring a baby into this world at this point. Give yourself a break have fun and enjoy being young, you can't get that back. You aren't even old enough to buy liquor do you really think you should be TTC???

You really need to see a dr. With PCOS, you already have cystic ovaries. Just taking meds without dr supervision can cause OHSS and possible loss of an ovary. The dr will discuss treatment options for you based on the severity of your PCOS. Likely they will start out with Metformin.
