HCG Levels highly rise then stay the same

I found out I was Pregnant on Nov 6th.  I then that night began to bleed.  I went to ER and the took my HCG levels which were at 43 and they told me to follow with my OB.  I didn't loose any tissue and they're was no pain.  The next day my levels were taken again and they went up to 56.  I had them taken 2 days later and they were at 256.  2 days later they went way up to 3,000 and I had an ultrasound that day and NOTHING at all could be seen except 2 cysts on my overy.  I then had my levels checked again 2 days after and they only went up to 3,018.  I am very concerned and am wondering if there is still a chance that I'm just to early to see anything??  I'm having another test taken in the morning 11-16.  I'm hoping they still rise.  My last period was Sept. 27th but, I had a miscarriage 4 months prior and since then my cycle lasted 37 days.  This puts me at 5 months.  Is it possible that something could be there but, not be able to see it yet?  My DR. is even STUMPED and does'nt understand any of this.  I'm making myself sick over this and just need to know STRAIGHT OUT what my possiblies are if they're is any at all! I'd feel better knowing either way GOOD OR BAD!

Well my numbers went up to 6,248.  Still am in no pain!  I'm having another ultrasound on Tuesday the 21st.  I hope they see something!  They should anyways.  Miscarriage is now out of the question now we just have to rule out an Ectopic.  PRAY, PRAY, PRAY that's all I can do.  It's all in Gods hands now.

I actually came up with 5 wks 6 days today.  I know I ovulated on the 20th of October.  My cycles are between 37 and 40 days long ever since I had my last miscarriage 4 months ago.  I have everything documented on FertilityFriend.com  I'm not a regular 28 day cycle person.  That's how I came up with it.

How did you come up with 5 months?  By my calculations you should only be 7wks 1day.  They should be able to see something on the u/s, but it is still early.  Hopefully your doc will continue to moniter your hormone levels and continue to do ultrasounds to make sure you have a viable pregnancy where it's supposed to be.  Please, though, make sure you pay attention to any soreness in either side or even your lower back on one side or the other, ectopic pregnancies are nothing to fool around with.  I wish you the best of luck and please keep us updated on how things go!
