M/C or period????

Okay, my hubby and I are ttc. My period wasn't due until 9-13-07. I was all gung ho and tested 7 days early. The digital EPT test said positive! I went in for a blood test on 9-7 and it was only 27! Then on 9-10 it was only up to 29! So I figured I was going to have a m/c. On 9-13, I started bleeding, normal like a period, with normal period like cramps. Now do you guys think this is a m/c or a period? If I wouldn't of tested early I would've just assumed it was a period. My doctor hasn't called me back yet so I haven't been able to get her opinion yet. Do I consider this a period or what? An hcg of 29 seems like there would be no pregnancy. I have heard that md's don't consider you pregnant if it is under 25? What do you guys think? I thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, definitely a miscarriage (chemical pregnancy).  I'm going through same thing..my HCG was just 15, I dont think it will double much.

I would say you had what is called a chemical pregnancy.  Anything over a 5 is considered pregnant.  I had a chemical in June and my numbers never got above 29 either.  Most people never even know they are pregnant, but since we are all so conscious of what is going on, a lot of people going through infertility know that they are pregnant so early, only to have it result in a chemical.  My RE classified this as a miscarriage, but no further treatment was needed to complete the miscarriage (no D&C etc).  My period that month was just really heavy, and a little more painful than usual.  Your doctor will determine if you will need any further treatment for your loss.  I am really sorry and hope you have success in the coming months.  I got my BFP earlier this month-2 cycles after my chemical.  Good luck and I am really sorry!
