I'm glad to hear that your D&C was successful. I'm not sure about pitocin, but the fact that you're not bleeding could also be because they removed most of the lining during your first D&C. Again, I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. It's hard enough experiencing a pregnancy loss...
I wish you a quick recovery, and hope your cycles will get back to normal soon. Take care of yourself, kakau!
Thanks!
I am post D&C #2. I have som epains but not bleeding at all which is different from round #1. Tey gave me pitocin - I don't know if that has anything to do with not bleeding...but the anesthesia was much stronger and hard to recover from this time - they say doing this twice within a month doesn't help...
This has been quite the ride! It was overwhelming to have to go through that a month after the original miscarriage.. Just the stuff nightmare are made of.
But - its behind me now. My doc was optimistic that the D&C should do the trick and resolve this once and for all.
I'll keep you updated
thanks for the support throughout!
Oh, kakau, I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't really know much about molar or partial molar pregnancies, but just wanted to let you know that we're here for you. Hopefully the D&C is successful and will bring your levels back down quickly. I'll be thinking of you...
Hi folks
It's not good... they think it's a mole meaning the lost pregnancy was a partial molar. That explains the M/C but now I have to go in for a second d&c Friday hoping that they can get the mole out and that it didn't "mutate into a more serious tumor, in which case I understand I am looking at stuff like chemotherapy medications... Also I won't be allowed to TTC for at least 6 montsh once they get my HCG down to 0.
This has been a bad day.
Anyone knows anything about this stuff?
Well - they still didn't have the labs back - but guess what- either I heard wrong or they were wrong but today I found out my first test HCG weren't 1625 but actually 625 - which is much less frightening! Still a little on the high side but not as much by a long shot. Also pregnancy symptoms are at full steam.
So - do y'all think it looks more promising for normal pregnancy?
keep your fingers crossed for me
Thanks guys!
I am so anxious to find out - I have been having more and more preg symptoms (fatigue, drooling tons when I sleep, mood S_WI_N_G_S , constantly hungry and nervous until after I ate...metallic taste in mouth...the works) - I just hope I am not making this up in my head/ and that if it is true that its not ectopic... This doctor on a medical forum said that the cyst are from the HCG still there because of the other pregnancy - ever heard of that? I don't care as long as its not ectopic I'm happy - preg or not...
Ill let you know when i know more
Good luck tomorrow!
keep us posted!
THANKS!!! I went to my acupuncturist today and from what he could tell judging bu my pulse (you know this is how they diagnose everything --well he was afraid to commit but I made him tell me what he thought and he said he thinks it is probably in the uterus and a very strong pregnancy pulse... I so hope he is right
If you did in fact ovulate since the m/c, then your levels were already back down. Your body won't ovulate again until the HCG is below 5. Good luck tomorrow!
Thanks for answering! I was also assuming its still the lost pregnancy, but then would I have so many functional ovulation cysts? I should mention that 3 out of these 4 cysts were not there in the ULS that discovered I lost the fetus heartbeat for the pregnancy I lost (so that was 2/11) so - these seem to have formed since the d&c and they look functional and well developed at that (3.5 cm the biggest) - which my doc seem to think means I did ovulate...is it possible to even ovulate if my HCG levels werent down? uuuggggg I am so frustrated I have not had peace of mind for 2 months straight.
any thoughts would be much appreciated
yes you could be pregnant again...did your doc monitor your HCG levels when you were pregnant before? If he did what was the last level you got? I believe that Yvette is right that it is probably your levels going back down and like she said a second test will show the truth. but if it is a new pregnancy then congrats and your progesterone looks great for being pregnant:)
It takes a while for HCG to go down. I miscarried about six months ago and the HCG was in my system forever. It kept rising (abnormally) and finally I got a shot of methotrexate and it continued to rise. The the HCG went down very slowly. It was in my system for about 8 to 10 weeks.
That’s probably why you’ve got a positive HPT. Also HOT can act like HPTs because there is similar chemistry. So disregard the ovulation test. Your docs should have been monitoring your HCG to make sure it was going down.
I assume you’ll get another blood test and that will tell you for sure what’s going on. If it’s doubling you may be pregnant. More than likely the HCG is still in your system. But anything is possible. A second blood pregnancy test will do the trick! Good luck to you
I assume HOT means home ovulation test..
