Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou! the answers you gave me helped a whole lot because I have been very lost and I need proper guidance to help me along the way. You are my new mentor. Question? should I take my temprature everyday? How often should I insert my fingers in to check if I am high or low? I never like that finger insert feeling so I may need some help with that! What is OPK is that a kit or something? Does the egg white mucus have a smell? Thankyou 30something13.

Ok first CD 1, you will have AF aka your period. The day you stop start checking your CM and CP. Your CP can be ckecked by inserting a finger inside. If it feels like it is right there it is low, reach a little it is med, and if you feel like you can not reach it then it is high! It gets low right after O aka ovulation. It gets med about a week before O and stays that way till boom you are ready to O. Now CM is dry right after O then becomes sticky, then creamy like lotion, then watery which you can feel on the outside. And finnally it turns to eggwhite which is the most fertile. It feels and looks like real eggwhites or a mans ***. No ther way to explain it! You can not mistake it! Now for cervical texture. Hard is like pushing on your forhead, med is like pushing on your nose, and soft is like pushing on your chin. After you feel it for a while then you will learn it! You might have to put your two fingers in to feel CM though! So lets see. Now for you to see if it is closed, medium or open. If it is closed you will not be able to put your finger or even a pencil in the opening (just as an example never do that of course) If it is medium you will feel like you can get the side of your finger tip slightly in. Then if it is open you will be able to put your finger tip right in on the edge about 1-3cm. So what you are looking for is
1. High cervix
2. soft cervix
3. open cervix
4. eggwhite cervical mucus
Now then you shoulf have a positive OPK! You will O within 12-36 hours from you positive and the egg can live for 12 hours. But you ahve to take the OPK 4 hours after you wake up so the LH aka luteninzing hormone has time to make it to the urine. Then not drink for three hours before you test!! 2pm is a good time. You do not know when you peaked either so if you have a positive it could of been even a few hours before so you must baby dance right away!
You will know when you O when your temp goes up in a rise of 6 degrees or more and stays up. Then you could still have a viable egg so you are still fertile up to 48 hours afterwards. You can release more then one egg too.

Hope this makes since to you! You can go to fertility friend and they have lots of info and tell you everything I just told you and charts also, but you have to pay after your trial period to continue all they offer.

best of luck feel free to write me with any questions.
Oh if you don't have good eggwhite mucus then you can use preseed lubbricant, others and spit will kill sperm!! Also acid reducers and antihistamines will dry your CM out! Do not take one week prior to O'ing!

best of luck

I would recommend buying one of those ovulation kits from the drug store.  You just pee on a stick a certain number of days (there's a chart) before you expect to get your period.  It will tell you when you are within 24 hours of ovulating.  I've never used the ovulation tracker, but I did use the o kit.
