How many embryos made it to transfer?

For those of you who have done IVF at least once, how many of your eggs made it to transfer?
I would also like to know, if you are over 40, how many follicles you had?
Just curious. Last month on my natural cycle they saw 7 follicles brewing (4 on R, 3 on L).  I just turned 40 three weeks ago.  Would love to hear from you!

In general, about 70-80% of mature oocytes fertilize, and about 50% of those make it to blastocyst.

Today's u/s,
Here's the stats:

1 - 15mm
1- 14mm
2 - 13 mm
2 - "small ones"
E2 = 415

So it seems some grew and some didn't since yesterday but the doc was not worried.  I had a different doc today - she didn't take the size of the small ones.  She said she expects that I will have four to work with on this cycle.  She also told me that unlike IUI or natural cycles, IVF follies are mature at 16mm.  For natural cycle/IUI they have to be 18mm.  So, I am almost there with at least one follie.  The doc anticipated that it will be a couple of days before I am ready to trigger. I will probably trigger on Sunday night and have ET on Tuesday.  Just a guess.
So I will have to go back AGAIN tomorrow morning. ugh.

ANOTHER UPDATE

So I heard back from the ivf nurse and I did indeed have 6 follies!

Here is the count:

2 - 14mm  !
1- 13 mm
1 - 12 mm
1 - 8 mm
1 - 7mm

I have to go in tomorrow morning again and have u/s and bw done.  My E2 today was 309.  I am really happy about the 4 follies that seem to be growing nicely.  Maybe that 8 will make it?  cross my fingers!

Kricket212,

Thanks for your well wishes.
I have another UPDATE:
I had the u/s this morning and here is the change:
1 - 14 mm
1- 13 mm
1 - 12 mm
1 - 8 mm
1 - 7mm
1 - possible 6th follie
I had to take the ganirelix shot right after the u/s and they took bw.  Again, my hubby came with me.  I tried to keep the best count I could of the sizes, but I could have sworn that there are now 6 follies and that I missed one in my count.  I should have asked but I will ask when the nurse calls.

They will call me later with the bw results and my next appt and/or stim adjustment.  As far as the trigger, I am assuming it will be on Monday.  I say this because I only have 5 ganirelix shots and I used one this morning.  Well, I guess I should say Monday will be the latest for the trigger, but who knows.....we'll see.  Right now I need these to GROW and GROW fast!!!

Soo happy that things are going your way so far.  Since you have 5 follies now if they continue growing I would guess you might have 3-4 eggs.  So exciting.........keep them growing.  When is your trigger shot?

****UPDATE!!!

Ok so my ivf nurse called and I have to come in TOMORROW for another u/s and will probably take the ganirelix shot.

Thanks claud and danielle for the well wishes, I appreciate it.  I am thinking positive, I had my husband come with me today so he can see what is going on.  Anyway, this is all very exciting and we are that much closer to our goal.  If everything goes well, and I have some good embies to transfer, then my transfer will be end of next week!  That seems so soon!

At least I am stimming good......glad I made it over that hurdle.
I'll keep you all posted.
