No one knows what's wrong.

I've been to three different drs, and still neither are sure what is wrong with me. I am 21 years old and have never had one period. I want so badly to be a mother and I've been through so much and met dead ends every time. Is it possible that I am ovulating though I'm not having periods or are the doctors right, is it hopeless for me to become pregnant?

Thank you both. I took 2 rounds of promitriam*, the drs hoped that would encourage my period however after those rounds and still no period they were afraid to try another I was having really bad side effects from the meds. One dr mentioned pcos and said it was a possibility that I had it but never gave me a for sure answer. They told me that my estrogen levels were very low and I had an ultra sound that showed no problem in my ovaries that they saw. It just really feels like a road block. If I knew what was wrong I feel like then I might be able to figure some way to work with it but not knowing is much harder.

Hello,

what were the findings from the doctors?  THey should do some investigations to work out the problem.  Hormone testing to see if all is normal there (for fertility and other hormones), and ultrasound to see that everything is there that should be.

If all appears normal and the hormones are normal they can give you meds to get you cycling.

You would probably need to work with an Obe and an endocrinologist.

Hope this helps.

well i am 22 and i went months without having a period and finally my doctor prescribed me norithidrone also known as aygestin and i finally got my period. you will be unable to conceive until you get your period, because without a period you cant ovulate, but it still is possible maybe you should really try to take some type of medicine to start your period. by the way after i started my period 4 mos later i got pregnant off clomid however it ended in an ectopic pregnancy. maybe your doctor should check for pcos thats what i am diagnosed with. well hopefully i kinda helped you out and good luck with everything
