4 days of positive OPK? Whats going on?

Ok my last period was january 28th 09, im ttc #2 and i bought the ovulation kits, first i bought the answer ovulation kit that has 20 strips, so my first day of testing was feb 5th(negative) feb 6th(negative) feb 7th(negative) feb 8th(negative) feb 9th(day time 12pm negative,7pm POSITIVE)So from feb 9th (at night) till yesterday feb 13th was positive!!!! i also had bought the first response with the 7 sticks to see if they would say the same and they did!! the test line were darker than the control line!!! i also had my friend pee on one of them to see what it would say for her and it was a clear negative, with only 1 line(control line)!!!! i havnt tested today cuz i already spent 50 bucks on these things,can someone tell me whats going on??i also had sex on all those days

Sorry.  They were negative because they WERE NOT dark lines.  Good luck!

I am up to $200 with the kits and I am only in my first month.  haha.  When you get a positive on the OPK... it will be SOOOO RED.  I didn't realize it until I finally saw it... and I got my positive one day before my period was suppose to start. SO, now I am totally confused!  My BBT charts showed the temperature dip, as well on day 27.  So I knew it was correct.  Now I am in the waiting game until next Friday.

Are you sure all of the lines were darker than the control line?  It will be a lot darker than the control line, not slightly darker.  As in dark, dark, dark purple (or whichever color your OPK's show).  I thought I was getting positive readings because they were slightly darker but it turns out that they were negative because they were really dark lines.
