IUI #3

Has anybody had to do 3 or more iui's? I am onto #3 and I am beginning to wonder why it is not working if they can't find anything wrong. I am unexplained. Did anyone have a success story with iui #3 or 4?

I have not had it personally myself but I work in an office that performs IUIs.  I have seen people try at least 7 times.  But the good news is, after your sixth attempt, you can receive help no matter what.  It is not based on your income, but based on your attempts.  There are programs that will help pay for you to get IUIs and help you until you succeed.  I will pray for you that you receive the wonderful gift of motherhood.  Sadly there are thousands that want babies and haven't gotten the opportunity and there are others who don't want children and get rid of them or take them for granted.  just keep trying and don't get discouraged.  I was told I would never concieve, and 3 yrs and two miscarriages later I have a 13 month old son!!!

Yeah, I do planning on doing another IUI. I have done 5 on clomid with no monitoring..and another one without any meds. I have to talk to my doctor and go to Plan B which is injectibles and monitoring..which he should have been doing all along!!! I tried getting him to switch me to injectibles after the 3rd one but he wouldn't..jerk. But anyways, I now have to wait and do my 7th IUI in May. They want me to take a month off. But yeah, I'll be in it again in a month! It'll be a frustrating wait though!

I had 4 IUI's and the 4th one was successful.  I had given up after 3 too, and my RE said that he likes to do at least 6 before moving to IVF.  I guess he was right, because the 4th one took.  I also have unexplained and we had been TTC for 2 years.

Hey girl!

I just had IUI #3 today and am hoping this is our month. If not, the RE suggests moving forward to IVF. But i've heard of lots of women on this forum that have had luck with IUI. I will keep everything crossed that this is your month too and that we can do this together!!

are you thinking about do IUI again?  This morning i have brown spotting.  I think AF will be here tomorrow.

I will do IUI#2 next cycle.  Hopefully tomorrow is my CD1.

I've done 6 IUI's already and there is nothing wrong with me either. There should be no reason why I can't conceive...just doing IUI because of my husband's vasectomy. I guess it takes even healthy women a while to conceive...good luck. I know it gets frustrating IUI after IUI but hopefully it'll eventually work!

I have IUI#1 done on 3/6 and it's fail.  AF should come tomorrow.  I will try IUI#2 next cycle.  AFter that if I conceive, it's wonderful, but if it's not, i give up and not try again.

Yep, I have twins with IUI #3.  We have unexplained infert. also.  Been ttc for two years.
