IUI FIRST TIME!

Has anyone had any success with an IUI the first time?? I am so nervous, were "unexplained" so I started on 50mg Clomid then Estrace and HCG shot day 14 with u/s one follie and IUI day 15. Also 81mg aspirin daily and progesterone supp. nightly whew! That's a lot of meds now that I'm writing this lol! Anyway dh has low motility but avg. count. So I'm going nuts! As of today I have one week till blood test its on Halloween! Wish me luck!

I have a friend who conceived on her 1st try at IUI, but it took stronger meds than Clomid.  She has healthy DS and tried IUI again, but it didn't work this time.  She is going to have to step up to IVF I think.

MY preg. test is also on Halloween, but I will take a hpt the day before if I think I am pregnant.  I got pregnant with my second IUI which was immediately following the unsuccessful cycle.

I hope it's a Happy Halloween for you & dh :)  I'm doing my first iui this month, too.  I go in for my u/s tomorrow & will start my meds.  Good luck!!!

Hi BellaD83,

I actually got pregnant with my first IUI but I also took Clomid CD 3-7 and Bravelle (injectables) from 5-9 and then my HCG trigger and IUI the next day and Babydancing the day after that, I did have a high prolactin problem and PCOS my RE gave me Parlodel to bring down my prolactin level for almost a month and that was my winning combo.
