IUI not until the end of next week!
So the nurse just called. I have "several" follies on both sides. Several means different numbers to different people, but I am assuming it's around 3 on each side. Only one is measuring 12 mm so I will go back in on Saturday a.m. The nurse thinks the IUI won't happen until late next week, like Friday! That's so far away! I thought it would be like Monday or Tuesday. Oh, well...
You know the show John and Kate Plus Eight? The nurse told me they conceived those 6 babies with IUI! Can you believe it??? She said they never mention the fertility clinic's name because they don't want to be identified. She thinks Kate was probably on Clomid, not monitored, and they just did IUI without checking the follies. My RE's clinic does not want people to have more than one baby at a time. Did you know that multiples are considered abnormal? Even twins are considered not to be normal. It seems strange but it's true. However, to those of you who do have twins, you are truly blessed!

Sue, my RE is the same way about multiples. He thinks it is really reckless for people/dr to do IUI or even intercourse with more than 2 follies. He could maybe be persuaded with 3 but I know he wouldn't be crazy about it.
I go for my next u/s on Thursday. If all goes well, IUI will be on Saturday cd14. My cycles have been really crazy tho, so things might not be where they need to be by Thursday. If not, I'll have to wait a couple more days at least.
