IVF MORE SUCESSFUL THE SECOND CYCLE ???

I am about to start my second ivf cycle do i have a better chance bcuz of it being my second time or are the sucess rates the same ? Anyone got preggers the second time around ?

I'm going to try acupuncture- I've heard it increases your chances.  Also, I read that eating fresh pineapple helps your lining to be "sticky" for the embryo to implant (although it didn't work for me.)  Hopefully acupuncture will help this time.

yes my doc is going to change my protocol ! i was on th short prot now he is going to put me on the long prot ! thnks 4 the info

I did not know that there was evidence that repeated attempts at IVF increases your chance of pregnancy...I have to ask my RE about that. Thanks for the infomation.

Has your protocol changed at all? If pregnancy is not achieved a lot has been learned about you and what else might be tried in the next cycle, plus there is evidence that repeated attempts at IVF increases the overall chance for pregnancy.

i did acupunture the first time before transfer and after transfer ! Doc said it can increase pregnency rates up to 45% but it didn't work for me ! But i am still gonna do it the second time around ! GOOD LUCK HOPE WE BOTH GET GOOD RESULTS !!!

I've been asking the same question because I am about to start my second cycle of IVF. I would think the success rate is the same because I've heard women get preggo on the first IVF cycle and others have to try multiple times.  I am just praying that it works the second time around. Are you going to try acupunture, alot of women on the forum said good thing about it. I will be trying it for my second cycle. Good luck, sorry I did not have a direct answer for your question.
