I had 2 embryos transferred 1 week back and exactly on 10th day after ET I spotted bleeding and the flow became heavy Now the doubt is as I had 2 embryos transferred what is the status of those embryos? Is it gone for good or still do I have any chance of conceiving

hi - wishing you luck for this cycle. i had 2 embryos transferred also - just had 1st scan which showed only 1 sac (but no heartbeat yet..praying!!). i asked should i not have had bleeding but they said as it hadnt taken it would have been absorbed into the sac of the one that did.  Saying that though i know a friend had a little bleed after her 2 were transferred but she is pregnant with one.  it's different for everyone so just try to stay positive and good luck.  lots of baby dust and glue to you!!

If an embryo does not implant it will arrest-stop growing.  The cells will more or less disintegrate-this will not cause any bleeding.  You won't pass them.  If both implant, you can lose just one and you would more than likely get some spotting.  The way to tell this is by the beta and the u/s.  If your beta number doubles and then starts slowing down it is possible that both implanted and you are losing one.  It can then be confirmed at 6 weeks with an u/s.  The bleeding, the beta, it all depends when you loose that second one if both do implant.  I had an early miscarriage this last IVF cycle-sometime b/w 13 and 17 dpo.  I didn't spot or bleed until I stopped the progesterone.  If you loose the second one really early on like I did, you may not even know it, by beta or u/s or bleeding.  This is a really stressful process.  Try to just let it happen b/c there really is not much you can do to influence the outcome, easier said than done I know, it took 4 cycles to get in this state of mind.  Good luck to you.  I hope you get lucky on the first go round.  :)

Hi, i had a question and it looks like you would know. i am going in on May 10th to start our first IVF cycle and they are going to put 2 embryos in as well. im sure there are a ton of ways that it can happen. if only one sticks, and the other doesnt, but you dont have a period, what happens to it? and if they both happen to stick, but one stop growing and you misscarry, will the other stay? is it possible to keep one and loose one? (after they have both implanted that is) i go up and down daily from overly excited, to completely nervous, to down right scared out of my mind all because i want this that bad. im definitely up far more then i am down but im still a bit worried about it all! please ease my mind =) thanks

When is your pregnancy test?  It could be your period showing up, progesterone does not stop it for all women.  Or it could be that both implanted and you are miscarrying one of them-which is not that uncommon.  You will need a pregnancy test to know for sure.  If the embryos did not implant they stopped growing.
