Waiting to try again

I am still recouping from a miscarriage a little over a week ago. My OB is thinking low progesterone might have been the source, but no way to really tell. They are telling me to wait 2 full cycles to try again. So now I'm back in the ttc game. If there is anyone who has dealt, dealing  with low progesterone with any advice, I would be very thankful. Any advice or support would be so appreciated. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Sorry to hear  about your loss. I just had a miscarriage on the 24th of April but I'm good I had a TR 10 months ago so I know I can get preggo. I went to dr today and he started me on clomid 50mg 3x a day this will be my 4th month on it so we'll be trying again next month.
I wish you the best of luck.

Actually my husband and I just kinda gave up. We had tried for over 8 years. This was a total surprise. I was so happy and then before I knew it, it was over! I am still very upset, but trying to look to the future. Not quite sure where or what to do next. From everything I have found on the Internet, progesterone is very expensive. Two weeks before the miscarriage my husband lost his job. So expenses are pretty tight right now till he starts working again. Does insurance help at all with the costs? I was approved for medicaid, but I know it doesn't cover it for fertility reasons, but will after I'm pregnant again!

Did you get pregnant via IUI or IVF? I was taking vaginal progesterone suppositories 2x/day after my IUIs (Prometrium) and I am taking progesterone gel suppositories 3x/day after my IVF (Crinone gel). Kind of messy, always seeping out, but it's supposed to help... Also, taking baby aspirin is supposed to help prevent miscarriage (conflicting studies here). Best of luck and so sorry for your loss :(

Sorry for you loss!

no personal experience but if this is the case I believe you OB can prescribe progesterone once you get pregnant again. I read that many women managed to maintain a healthy pregnancy with progesterone supplements  after having miscarriages.

wish you the best.
