i bought a book called "taking charge of your fertility" which helped my big time. It teaches u to chart, check for cm and cervix etc.. Basicly your most fertile cm is the egg white stretchy kind. If u don't get ew cm, you should bbd when u feel wet or lube cm. Creamy or sticky cm is not fertile. As i am irregular, I get patches of ew cm in a given cycle until i eventually confirm ovulation charting my bbt. Once u start charting, u'll see a pattern in temps. Your bbt should spike after u ovulate and stays up until your period. Take your bbt every morning around the same time to get more accurate readings. I also check my cm everyday except up to 1 week after my af because i know i'm not fertile. If u have a + opk you should ovulate within a 24 hr -48 hr period. BBd that day and the day after. Baby dust!!
I have acutally tried to chart my BBT, but i was clueless on trying to read it. I was thinking about trying it again. As far as my cm what do I check it periodically to see if is there and stretchy. I am now using the opk's, and i've had one positive reading last week and not sure when to have intercourse after the reading. Thanks To Everyone!!
I too have irregular and it can be difficult to determine because your body attempts to ovulate several times giving "false" signals. I use alot of opks. I chart cm and my cervix. It's important to chart your bbt to confirm you have ovulated. This has worked for me. Using one of these methods alone is difficult like I mentioned because your body attempts several times so u may for example get patches of ew cm. Good luck
I would pay attention to the discharge, it's pretty reliable and is what I used when trying to conceive. If you are not having any, then you can measure your basal temp or get a ovulation kit from the drug store.
You can use Ovulation Predictor Kits, (OPK's) charting your Basal Body Temperature (BBT) and you can also observe cervical mucous. When you're about to ovulate your discharge will become stretchy and resemble egg whites. However, you should see a doctor just to actually make sure you're ovulating. Then you can go from there.
