Is 9 DPO too early to use an early HPT?

I am 9dpo...just wondering if it's still too early to test with an early hpt? it the dipstick kind, says it was 25mIU's but who knows from the internet!

It's not too early if you don't care about an accurate result.

If pos, it's accurate.  But if negative, you could easily still be pregnant and will have to go through the agony of retesting and retesting, getting your hopes up and down, etc.  But that seems par for the course here, so test away!  

The earlier you test, the more unreliable a neg test is.  If you wait until the day your period is due, or even better a couple days later, you can be very confident in the result.

But no one listens to me about it, so test!  Test!  Test!
