Too early for a HPT???????

hi everyone! i'm bursting @ the seams here!!! i had a 5 day blastocyst transfer on 8/23 so that means i'm 12 days dpo?! i broke down and bought the first response gold tests. it's supposed to be able to detect pregnancy up to 4 days prior to you missing your period. seeing tomorrow i'll be 13 dpo do u think that'll be too soon? i'm scared to take the test but i'm jumping out of my skin! what to do? any suggestions? has anybody did a hpt before they got their blood test for an ivf procedure?

on the other hand I HATE HPT!!!!!! hate them with all my heart. The only time I waited and did not take them it was a positive!!!!
WAIT!!!!!! and don't suffer before it is time to actually cry after more accurate testing :(

i'm a big yes to testing...because i was more relaxed knowing than not knowing.
i took tests every morning starting 7dp3dt.  first faint bfp was 8dp3dt (11dpo) :)

I had a 5dt on August 21, but my beta is not until September 4th.  I broke down and took a HPT this morning and it was negative and I'm totally bummed.  So I'd say hang in there and don't do what I did.  Now all I want to do is take more HPT to prove the one this morning was wrong.  I know I need help (LOL) !!!

lol! thanks for the smile! i want to do it but i think im just going to wait until i have my blood test on thursday.. i think i'm prego tho cuz i don't c y it would be a problem. even my dr said my chances are higher than the normal cuz it's just my tubes that i have a problem with. so my hopes are definitely high! i don't want to think negatively!!!! hey congrads on those twins!!!...again...lol!

Yes, I did cheated not one, or twice, but I did it 4 times!  I started on day 7 post 3 day transfer and it was a faint positive and remain positive until now! But remember you have to take the good with the bad, and not every pregnancy is the same and the way your body is not the same as mine.  We are all different. So don't get bump out if its not positive yet. Thsi can change drastically in one or two days! Take care!
